"The rep who helped me did not introduce herself. She had trouble finding my appointment on her laptop. When she did, she blamed AdaptHealth for not entering my appointment information correctly. We went back to the office. She left the door open, which created distractions. At least two people walked to the door and said something to her. I explained to her that I was suddenly having trouble with my mask slipping and that I was experiencing leaks. For some reason she thought that I wanted to get a new mask. She started to give me a tutorial on wearing the mask. We did not have to start from the beginning. I suggested that she look at my history. I've been using the mask for over thirty-six days. My scores were mostly over 92%. My scores had dropped to around 72%, which is why I was there. I had taken my mask apart to wash it and it wasn't quite the same after that. I suspected that I was not properly tightening the straps. I wanted help with that. The amazing customer service rep that I spoke to on the phone days before said that looking at my history, it was obvious that I know what I'm doing with the machine and mask. There must be a problem somewhere else. Why could she not see that? I brought my mask and tube with me. I donned my mask. She looked at it from across the desk and stated that the straps were all correct. She did nothing to check the fit. She grabbed the mask to inspect it for tears and breaks without gloves. She did not wash her hands before or after handling my mask. She proceeded to explain the cleaning schedule to me which I had been adhering to for the last month. I told her that I disassembled the mask and washed it once a week. She said that I did not have to take the mask apart completely. Just dip the entire assembly, intact, in water. I walked out frustrated and dissatisfied because the problem had not been solved. I would not recommend this store. If you have to go to a store and you can travel, go to Germantown. That is a much better location. The service is great. YouTube has helpful videos on using and maintaining your equipment. AdaptHealth's customer service is excellent, call them. They are pleasant and knowledgeable. They know the products forward, backwards and sideways. They can provide tips about things you may never think about. Like, using baby shampoo to clean your parts instead of Dawn is better. Dawn is good but harsher and may shorten the life of the parts. My machine is an outstanding CPAP device. My severe Sleep Apnea was fixed overnight. As long as I keep using it, I expect impressive results. I am more than satisfied with the experience. As one customer service suggested, "Play around with the settings". The tube temp, the humidity, water level and strap tightnesses can all be adjusted to your liking. You will find the best fit for you. I have found that the same is true for the various locations."
"One star for the lady who tried to connect me with scheduling. Scheduling called me 3x. Hung up on me 3x. I finally looked them up and called back. I won’t get into the WILDLY UNPROFESSIONAL DETAILS but not sure how this place stays in business if this is how it is run."
"Lori was an awesome respiratory therapist for me! It was my second time getting a CPAP, but the first time I had everything explained to me in such a thorough manner. I appreciated how easy she made the whole process and how easy it was to understand everything -- especially the demo of how to put everything together and the explanation of how it works. I hadn't had that the first time (with a different company) so it was very cool. The office was clean and organized and everyone I interacted with besides Lori was friendly and respectful. The only confusing thing for new visitors might be the lack of signage. There are a few buildings around there and I didn't notice the street address prominently displayed until I'd parked and walked up to it. Fortunately, my Maps app was right in the positioning of the dot, and signage was fine once I got inside, but if I were feeling scattered or in more of a rush, I might've missed them and gotten lost trying to get the right building and then the correct suite. The name on the door was Roberts Home Medical, but my paperwork comes from AdaptHealth and the address when entered into my phone brings up "Sleepmed - Bowie", so that could've been confusing, too."
