Reviews of UM BWMG - Women's Health at Glen Burnie
"I saw Pablo Argeles. TLDR: screw this guy. I made it very clear I was there for my well woman so I could get my birth control pills. He didn’t listen or care why I was there or about what was right for me and my life. Pablo gave me unsolicited advice about how I should move up my timeline for having a child by over 5 years, gave me anecdotal evidence about someone in my same line of work who had complications when they waited until their 30s to have a kid, and hit me with the “pfft, well your career will always be there.” And this was all after I had to wait 40 mins past my appointment time to see this guy."
"As a new patient, this practice made me wait 8 months for a well woman’s visit, then they cancelled on me the week before the visit. When I asked to reschedule they said I would have to wait 4 more months before being seen by a midwife. They came highly recommended but I can’t trust my care with a practice that doesn’t respect my health or my time."
"I was referred by friends to University of Maryland for my pregnancy care and delivery. From my experience Dr. Argeles and the female OBGYN doctors and midwives that I have gotten care from at the Glen Burnie and Pasadena locations were all very knowledgeable and highly skilled. They have always patiently answered my questions, I have never been rushed during appointments and they always were on time to start the appointment as scheduled. They valued my time and for the one rare occurrence that an appointment had to be canceled due to unexpected circumstances, they contacted me immediately that day. I have always been able to reach a real person on the phone, have any questions answered in depth vs having a messy call tree when I was with John Hopkins. Things to be aware of, try to do pre-checkin verification on my portfolio at least the day prior and be at the office at least 15min prior to the appointment start time to check in. Typically that is standard practice for any appointment anywhere but when I was with John Hopkins, no matter how early you were for an appointment, it was at least 20-40 min past the official appointment time that I would even be seen. That was to typical for JH, which was why so many of my friends and family switched from them. I wish I listened and switched away from them earlier! My University of Maryland experience has been far superior by leaps and bounds, they are really underrated and highly recommend them to experience the positive difference."
"Great place to go if you want Covid. My wife was notified that she came into contact with someone who had covid. She now gets to quarantine away from our 1 month and 3 year old while we await test results. It's also our 3 year olds birthday tomorrow! Thank you to whoever the unvaccinated person was that passed it to her. She only had contact with a doctor and nurses, no other patients."
"Save your time. This office has been nothing but a headache this entire year. My doctor retired so the office called and set up an appointment with a new doctor, no problem. My problem begins when I show up for the aforementioned appointment and the staff was incredibly rude. They told me that it had been cancelled and I was not informed. Their reasoning was that my voicemail was full, which it was not nor did I have a missed call from the office. I rescheduled the appointment for the following week and took off work that day. I woke up that morning to a phone call saying that this appointment would be cancelled as well. Their reason for cancelling was that the staff scheduled me for the wrong type of appointment the previous week. This office has stressed me out so much this year and I will not be returning."
