"I was on my through hike of the AT and ended up with an abscess that needed medical attention. I was in desperate need of a boarding facility so I could go to the ER. I tried for a day then a dog sitter recommended them to me. I called on a Sunday after hours and explained my situation. She far exceeded expectations and drove to my location and picked not only the dog but brought me to the hospital. This really was one of the kindest acts of selfless service I have witnessed in some time. I was able to get treated and no stress if my dog (my best friend) was being taken care off. I was sent a picture of him and an update later. To me this shows she genuinely care for your pets and you as a person. Words cannot describe my gratitude for the help I was given. And to top it off they brought my boy back to me so I would not have to work out a ride and could relax and recover. I would 100% recommend this facility to anyone. They are top notch good people Thank you so much for all you have helped me with in my time of need. Phil"

"I recently used Lisa and her kennel, The Pet Companion, for my XL dog with special needs. From the first moment I met her I knew that she really gets dogs. She asked excellent questions about his medications, food, etc. and was determined to make him feel right at home! When we picked him up, he looked relaxed and happy, and actually he laid down on the grass outside not wanting to leave! I cannot say enough positive things about Lisa and her crew. The Pet Companion is worth the drive from DC for anyone with a dog that needs special loving and a picturesque farm setting (there were goats hanging out next to the outdoor area!). We were nervous about finding a good place to board our pup since we aren’t from the area, but this place eased all our worries!
