"Brandon was truly amazing! He worked with me to get the right dose of semiglutied foe the right amount of weight loss. I lost in total in 12 weeks 29lbs. He is also very good with scheduling and penciling you in on weekends if you work a 9-5. -Jennifer oppelt."
"My experience from first reaching out to Virginia Center for Health and Wellness has been nothing but great and encouraging. I received a prompt initial response and was on my way to becoming a patient. Every question has been promptly answered by the staff. The patient portal is user-friendly. Everything is laid out so clearly. Most importantly, my initial consultation with Dr. Bajnath was encouraging, informative, and thorough. He took time with us to answer all of our questions and get me on a path towards healing. I am hopeful for what the future holds because of VCHW!"
"I scheduled an appointment for June 6 with VA Center for Health and Wellness for my daughter based on my physician's recommendation. I called to cancel the appointment on May 13th, well in advance of the appointment. The person informed me that they would be keeping my $100 deposit anyway since "it is non-refundable to schedule an appointment." The lady who scheduled the appointment never mentioned this, which I explained. Her response was, "I'm sure she told you this is a non-refundable deposit when you spoke with her." What bothers me about this is not necessarily the money, though it is very poor business practice to keep a deposit when an appointment is cancelled over 3 weeks in advance. Her tone was so dismissive and condescending that I would never do any business with this office. I certainly remember the appointment conversation with clarity. The woman literally ignored my response and stated, "so I'll go ahead and cancel the appointment then" and quickly hung up. Having said this, I understand that practitioners in this area of work often view people who have been exposed to black mold as "difficult." I'm not one of those people, and that's not a great way to view people who need help anyway. My daughter had significant exposure, but I did not. I simply find it appalling to take money for nothing and then speak to paying customers this way. Good business practice always includes great communication and fair business dealings."
"I had a bad experience here. I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to help others avoid wasting money. I saw Dr. Stone for endocrine and thyroid issues. She gave me full attention during our 1 hour visit, which I appreciated. She was kind and warm. She wrote up a battery of tests for her to review and encouraged me to buy lots of their natural supplements, from which I did not notice any differences unfortunately. My main complaint is that I was not able to get in touch with the Doctor after receiving my test results for a full 3 months! I had some troubling symptoms during that time and she did not return any of my messages. Getting through by phone (as mentioned in other reviews) is near impossible. I was worried about some of my results and symptoms and ended up going to another doctor through my insurance provider who not only got back to me within 24 hours, she checked in with me every few weeks to follow my progress. I regret going to the VA Center for Health & Wellness. I think it is unacceptable for a doctor to be so unavailable for follow up and communication in general with patients. If the doctors and reception staff would change their level of communication and responsiveness, everyone would benefit."
"He refused to take responsibility when confronted with his mistakes, charged exorbitant fees, and was rude to my family and I, as was his staff. His practice regularly sent newsletters dropping names of celebrities right and left that he worked with (including such paragons of integrity as Lance Armstrong). If you are looking for someone well-connected who loves to be in the media, look no further. If you are looking for a compassionate doctor that will go the extra mile without sending you another bill, he is the wrong guy. I wish I hadn't trusted my chronic illness, my health, and my financial resources with him or Norman Levin, MD - the previous owner of the practice."
