Reviews of MinuteClinic at CVS
"I’ve had good experiences at this minute clinic every time I’ve gone, but in late January, I took my son in who was sick for several days. The nurse practitioner was very unusual because she wasn’t using the computers, but instead was writing everything on Post-it’s… she also scolded me for not giving my child Tylenol or ibuprofen for his fever that morning, but his fever was not very high (just over the threshold). She flat out said to me, “You did the wrong thing.” When I informed her that I had gone in because we were going to go on a vacation as a family, and I wanted to make sure my son didn’t have an ear or sinus infection, she also scolded me for taking my child out of school for a vacation making some comments about him missing school (it was within the hcpss personal day allowance for students). I need to use minute clinic services today because I am sick but I was reminded about the fact that I won’t go back to this location even though it’s close to home in case I have this horrific nurse practitioner again. It’s a shame because everyone else I’ve had there has been wonderful, but I just don’t want to risk getting her again… the whole time I was there I felt like I must have looked like someone who she hated based on the way she was treating me. It was all very unusual. I tried to be kind the entire time because that’s who I am, but I was ready to cry after we left."
"TERRIBLE- The Provider’s name is Cynthia Broadnax. I waited about 2 hours. Writes everything on a post it note. Does not sanitize after each patient. She put in her notes on cvs MyChart that she did a full physical and testing. Not true. She just did a covid test and rushed because it was lunchtime. Had no clue a full examination was supposed to be included. Until my friend told me of her experience. Also announced my results IN THE STORE. After I left the private area. Did not offer any kind of treatment options told me to call my doctor."
"I made my appt for 5:30pm, waited 90min to see the NP, when it's my turn, she asked me to wait again while she took the lady after me first. When I told her I was there for a TOC, she said she had never heard of that, didn't even care to listen to me, to check my profile/record of previous visits before rudely refused my request simply because I told her I don't really feel any symptom since the issue has been existing since February. I just finished my recent medication 8 days ago and my scheduled specialist visit will be in 15 days. Didn't she said she's never heard of TOC! No wonder she is not aware TOC needs to be done 7-14 days after the medication. So I left with nothing but wasted 2 hours. Save your time and money, go somewhere else, find someone who is qualified!"
"Waste of time and money. Offered no assistance with finding prescription that was supposed to be fillled. It was somehow never in the system yet I received a phone call for it. Everyone wanted to pass the buck. NP on duty couldn't take 5 mins to check an order placed 24 hrs prior without re-examining me. Multiple calls to customer service just lip service. Absolutely no reason any should have to hunt do an a prescription. Defeated the whole purpose."
"I made an appt the same day. I showed up 15 minutes early, per the instructions. The PA/NP came out immedietly after I had checked in at the kiosk. She was very attentive and asked many questions and gave a thorough exam. She sent my prescritpions to the CVS in the same target. Everything about this appointment was top notch. My prescriptions were ready quickly as well. Thanks for the great appointment."
