"Currently in the process of switching my girls to a different doctors office. If I could give 1 star to the reception and 5 to the doc I would. Dr musta had always been great with all of my girls the past 3 years, but I have finally had it with the receptionist (not both but just the one) she is EXTREMELY rude, I have been yelled at, talked over, contradicted, and argued with. I wouldn’t say I recommend not going but I would say I recommend not dealing with her. And if the office is taking any advice from these reviews it would be to either remove her or place her in the back where she isn’t dealing with patients face to face."
"He is literally the best doctor. My son adores him and he adores my son. He has the best bed side manner. His staff are so friendly and nice. Always welcoming. I truly love coming in even if it’s because we are sick. Highly recommend!"
"Dr Mustafa is the best doctor. The office staff are friendly! His wife is the sweetest even tho I’ve read a lot of reviews about her not being friendly. She is just direct and to the point.! All 3 of my kids have been seeing him since they were born & I would never take them anywhere else.!"
"Wow... what an off-putting experience and we hadn't even been seen yet!!! I called to schedule a new patient appt for my son with Dr. Mustafa (who has RAVING reviews on multiple websites) only to be connected with someone in his office that seemed bothered and inconvenienced by me calling. Unfortunately, didn't catch their name because they didn't introduce themselves after I was transferred or put on hold... just said "hello??". They couldn't tell me how far out they were booking appts and just asked me to stop by to fill out the medical release paperwork from my previous provider. I said I'd request to have it faxed over and hopefully then we could schedule an appt. They, again, just seemed overall bothered by my asking questions for reassurance. We discussed what insurance I have (I actually got Dr. Mustafa's name FROM my insurance patient portal as an in-network provider) and hung up. A few minutes later I got a call (that I missed) and a voicemail was left that said "Hi this is the pediatrics office calling, unfortunately we're not accepting new United patients. We apologize. Have a nice day". I understand that I probably don't have a need-to-know as of why but the entire phone call experience from start to voicemail was SO unpleasant, cold and apathetic. I'm typically the person to give the benefit of the doubt but am really disappointed in how Dr. Mustafa's office handled my inquiry, a simple request for a routine exam on a new patient. What a disservice to Dr. Mustafa when other patients and families speak so highly of him. A little more personability and care for the customer/patient experience would go a long way."
"For anyone who is a patient or thinking of becoming one with First Choice Pediatrics in Hagerstown, you may want to reconsider. After a visit in which my son had a physical and we discussed a pain that he was having in his back we were sent for x-rays. The pain persisted and I called to ask for a doctors note for excuse from gym only to be met with a hostile and unprofessional office manager. She insisted that I was lying about talking to the doctor about the pain in his back and when I attempted to explain the visit she kept referring to me as “Mommy” in a condescending tone. I asked her to stop using that label that way and she continued. Then hung up on me. I called back the next day and was greeted by another person who told me that I did talk to the doctor about his back and they wanted me to take him to a specialist. At that point I told her I would be switching doctors and she wanted a formal apology from the office manager. This weekend I received this letter. I can only laugh at their absurdity at this point. And if you look at his reviews you will see that I am not the only person. Instead of admitting their fault and apologizing for the way they handled a very simple situation they decide to act like they were the victims."
