Pine Dentistry & Braces

"First of all, just because they changed the name of the practice doesn’t mean that the dentistry itself changed. I took both of my kids here years ago when they were Kool Smiles and it was an awful experience. Both of my kids were very young at the time and were scared of the dentist. The dentist and the assistants did not do anything to help them feel better. They were rude to my kids then so I stopped going and went to other dentist offices. I am now here again with both of my kids years later because I thought since they changed their name, they changed how the practice ran things since so many people have complained. Pine Dentistry aka Kool Smiles has not changed. The staff is always very rude and always acts like if you have a question, it is a big inconvenience to them! The assistant who was with my daughter had the worse bed side manners I have ever seen!!! My daughter is only 14 and is still terrified of the dentist because of the past history with them. It is a shame that I can not find one dentist who takes state insurance that is a good dentist. I understand we are lower class and on state insurance but in no way does that give anybody the right to treat us though we are not human beings. I have always made sure I am polite and respectful but my sincerity is running thin. People who are struggling should still receive the same care as people who are in a higher class. These are children!!! It is not their fault that their parents are on state insurance. So Pine Dentistry, you should really take the time and care a little bit more on how you treat the innocent. For the employees of Pine Dentistry, if you do not like your job or do not care for kids, then find somewhere else to work!! I completely understand if you are overworked but come on…don’t put so many patients on at the same time! We waited in the waiting room for over an hour and then when we finally got back to the room, we waited another 30 mins for the dentist, all while the assistant didn’t say one word and acted like she was so done with being at her job. Also, while we were waiting for the dentist, another assistant came in our room to get a tool out from the drawer and she dropped one of them on the ground and then picked it up, looked at it and then placed it back in the drawer without sterilizing the tool first!!! Come on now!!! The dentist office is suppose to be one of the cleanest places and you drop an open tool on the ground and don't even sterilize it?!? Just wow. I am going to keep up with searching for a new dentist but I really hope at some point the state gets involved in this place and makes some MAJOR changes to its staff and how they handle their equipment and their attitudes."

"Completely unorganized, my fiancé showed up today to get her braces fixed BECAUSE THEY messed up her brackets. Wouldn’t let us start a payment plan and then just starting ignoring us so we had to leave. Her gums are infected and she’s came home sick twice from appointments."

"This was my old dentist, I currently go somewhere else. But basically, they screwed up my teeth badly. Every single filling that I have is failing due to poor work. They failed so bad that the cavity’s came back and grew so big that I now have to get root canals at 18 years old. Don’t go here. I know they accept insurance that is provided by the state, that’s what I had, but please go somewhere else."

"Rude receptionist!! And ridiculous policies. Beware: If you don't RE-CONFIRM your appointment that you already confirmed, they will actually CANCEL your appointment (with no warning, phone call or text, to let you know they cancelled it.. nothing.) Totally understand their low online rating, now."

"Very unprofessional. I arrived on time for my daughter appointment. I waited in the lobby for about 1 hr. The receptionist claimed that the multiple people being called before my child (that arrive after us) were on a different side. But there was a lady with little kids that was called before me but arrival after me. I went to the receptionists to reschedule and she claimed that would call me back in 3m but after waiting additional 10m. I left. I will never come back to this dentist office."
