"Issue #1: I went in for an appointment on Nov. 17th, to discuss options for retained products of conception. This is my 3rd loss in a row. When I got to the office to check in, no one was at the window for a few minutes. I see 2 women sitting in the other corner of the check-in office, their backs turned to me. I finally make eye contact with one, but when she came to the window she states that she will check me in later, because she is on a lunch break. I didn't argue at the time, I just went and sat down, flabbergasted. This is not a pleasant appointment for me to begin with, and it was important for me to start making a plan for management as it has already been 3 weeks since the miscarriage. I didn't know what to do except to pull up MyChart on my phone, and try to E-Check in myself, in hopes that the nurses and/or doctors in the back know that I was at least in the building. After a few more minutes, a different woman came in and checked me in. It took less than a minute. It's kind of ridiculous to not spend the 40 seconds to get someone checked in. Listen, if someone is on a lunch break, maybe post a sign on the window for when you'll be back in service. So I don't have to wonder how long it will take to get checked in, or worse, miss my appointment all together. This was a pretty unprofessional interaction. Issue #2: This is my third loss in a row, which isn't something I'm blaming on anybody or this practice. However, after my second loss, I was advised to get seen quickly, so that we can follow the next pregnancy along, maybe start progesterone, etc. So when I did become pregnant again, I tried getting a hold of someone, but finally ended up using messages through MyChart to talk to somebody. I made them aware of my 2 previous miscarriages. We made an appointment for around the 9 week mark of pregnancy, which to me felt a little later than I would have wanted. My ultrasound that day, (Oct. 24th) showed what looked to be a very early pregnancy, or a blighted ovum. We concluded that this was a blighted ovum, based on all my dates, pregnancy test dates, etc. Therefore, I asked about a D&C, which the doctor was very on board with at the time, and said that she could for that coming Friday, Oct. 27th. That doctor went on to have personal things going on which made it impossible to have a D&C from her that Friday. I also miscarry that Friday afternoon anyway. I thought I passed everything that day. But even now, Nov.19th, I still have retained products of conception. I really wish I was seen sooner. Had we picked up on these issues a little quicker, I probably would have had a D&C sooner, and I would be done with this nightmare. However, I am finally getting surgery at the end of the month. I just felt like this process was dragged out longer than it needed to be."
"If you have a problem that can not wait dont go here. I dont understand why they dont have appointment slots available for people that have issues that can not wait. Called today 11/14 they told me they cant see me till 12/08. I asked what am I suppose to do they said contact your primary or go to urgent care. They use to be good"
"I have called for the past month now trying to get an appointment left three messages and no one has ever called me back. It’s so disappointing because I love Dr. Hott. She delivered my son four years ago and was phenomenal."
"The providers here all seem to be decent. I’ve probably seen at least 60% of them since I can rarely get in to see the same doctor. However, I’m writing this review to say what others have already said, if you have the option, go elsewhere. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant. The office moved my appointment last minute to an hour that doesn’t work for me since I wouldn’t have someone to watch my other kids at 8 a.m. This appointment was supposedly very important because there was going to be the diabetes test and some other labs. However, I’ve been calling for three days, left two messages, and cannot get in touch with anyone who works at the office. I’ve also tried the mychart route, but the message I get when trying to schedule is that I need to call the office. I guess my next step will be stopping into the office the next time I am in Martinsburg."
"Don't waste your time. You'll never actually get see a freaking doctor. They'll cancel on you and kick your appointment down the road constantly. I made an appointment with Dr. Miller in the beginning of January 2023. Two months later the appointment comes (in March) and they cancel me THAT DAY. When cancelling with me I am assured that my wait won't be nearly as long because I am an established patient now. So they call me back to make another appointment for... another TWO MONTHS later. Then, three weeks go by and I get another phone call. They're cancelling me AGAIN! But don't worry, she says, they've scheduled me for yet ANOTHER MONTH after the second scheduled appointment. This office is a mess and horribly mismanaged. And god forbid you ever actually need gynecological care... because you surely won't be getting it here."
