"I definitely would not go here if you are older."
"Run do not walk away from this place! My husband was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in 2019, after undergoing radiation and luprone injections he was doing well and called on his last visit that his PsA was up and was told to have a bone scan done. On his follow up visit with doctor Riley he was told that his cancer was now in his bones but nothing was gone over and tried to sell him an expensive bone shot to keep the cancer in his bones at bay told by Dr Riley that he could fall and become paralyzed. We decided not to get the shot however because it would have been $500 out of pocket. In the meantime I scheduled a second opinion at Shady side hospital in Pittsburgh. We had a follow up with Dr Riley before the visit in Pittsburgh, he was out of town so we had a appt with Dr Parosis instead on this visit I asked to see a copy of the scan and when read over the report it did not look bad. So Dr Parosis replied "he was not lit up like a Christmas tree but in 1-3 years the cancer will kill him" On the visit in Pittsburgh the doctors at Shady side did not see cancer in his bones but instead found a large tumor that was on my husband's kidney. The urology associates did not acknowledge this tumor and instead lied about cancer being in his bones to get money for this expensive shot they kept trying to push on him. So it turned out the tumor was quite large and we had to schedule an appt to see about having them remove it here in Cumberland. Before scheduling the appt we had a small balance of $200 and they refused to schedule that until it was paid. By the time he got into their office they claimed it was too big for them to operate on. After all this we went back to the doctors in Pittsburgh who removed a TEN pound tumor from my husband. So now a year later my husband is dying from an inoperable carcoma that is in his lungs all due to negligence of this horrible, money hungry establishment."
"Do you know what you call the person who graduates last in med school? Doctor. That axiom resonates here. After Dr. Riley told me I should feel better having passed a stone, I HAD TO ASK IF THERE WERE ANY OTHERS, he said “weelll, a teeny one that might not even pass.” And given an order to follow up in a year. A few weeks later with more symptoms returning, I got a second X-ray. His office told me “it looked like it already passed”. Two days later I passed a stone larger than the first. When I showed up to the office with it in a bag and asked who read my X-ray and called me to give that diagnosis, I got no answer. I demanded a call back with the answer. I never got it. I also NEVER got any analysis on the stones I gave them or mitigative strategies aside from a dismissive “drink more water.” Not impressed. Will not entrust my care to that organization ever again. You shouldn’t either. Why post now? Well, because I’ve passed a third stone, Dr. Riley. Isn’t that just amazing? I’ve already gotten a referral to WVU Medicine and will seek professional care outside of whatever you want to call this establishment."
"Edited to take this down from 2 stars to 1: My husband saw Dr. Riley 48 hours ago and received a prescription. We have called the pharmacy and the office 3 times since then, and the prescription was not sent in until after the third phone call. And then, it turned out that it was sent yesterday to the wrong pharmacy! The pharmacist informed him of this; the doctor's office did not. They could have informed him of where his prescription had been sent, but they were more concerned about covering up their mistake. In the meantime my husband is getting sicker. This is completely unacceptable on the part of the office staff. Someone over there needs to take their work more seriously. He likes Dr. Riley, but what good is it when his staff won't follow up with his orders?"
"Was happy with the care I received from the doctor during my appt but my prescription required pre authorization. The pharmacy sent the required forms to the office the same day they received the prescription and I have spent the last 4 days calling and leaving messages at the nurses station regarding the status of my meds. The message states “calls are returned at the end of the business day” which clearly is not the case. Once I got lucky enough to have someone pick up the phone, but just got the run around “I’ll speak to the doctor and get back with you today”. This didn’t happen. Care is good here but the admin/customer service aspect leaves ample room for improvement."
