"They cancelled our appointment that was set up to get a quote for a smaller fence job, no big deal. They then opted to email me one instead since they were busy with other ongoing jobs. Took over a week to get a quote and they were about $1800-$1900 over other local companies."
"We had 3 companies come and give us quotes for our fence. We chose McCormick for multiple reasons. 1. Pricing Their prices for a wood fence were about $700-$1000 dollars cheaper than the competition. 2. Why We Didn't Pick the Competition One person came to give a quote, and quite honestly, it was just a gut feeling of distrust. He was nice, but their was a lack of professionalism. The other company that came was a much larger brand. The issue I had there was that the person who wrote the quote wouldn't be the guy to make sure the job was done correctly. Although he was very knowledgeable and professional. 3. Working Directly with the Owner I know I touched on this before, but having the direct communication with the owner of the company that provided the quote AND performed the work was the biggest factor in us choosing McCormick. Mr. McCormick did things because he called the shots where the larger company wouldn't have been as flexible. And again, just a gut feeling, I wouldn't have trusted the work done by the other company I mentioned previously. For example, when we were made aware that there was something in our design that had to be changed due to our lot, Mr. McCormick came out himself a week prior to the build and created a new design. We also added a few feet to the overall length of the fencing. Mr. McCormick added no charge despite the timing of the change and square footage changes. Something I was blown away by and repeatedly offered to compensate him for. he refused every time. 4. Professionalism Mr. McCormick stayed in constant communication with me, always answered my questions in a timely manner and with tremendous professionalism. This being my first home I had never had a fence built for me. For someone with the decades of experience that Mr. McCormick has to explain the process from pricing, to the vinly vs. Wood debate, to post designs, to spacing between the posts, to what the process was from one day of the build to the next...it was truly appreciated and remarkable. 5. Results While we could not have known this prior to choosing McCormick, the reasons above let us know we had little to worry about in this category. The fence we have is truly fantastic. The work is very high quality in terms of looks and sturdiness. The guidance of Mr. McCormick was spot on as the post design is our favorite part of the fence. We also have a slope at the back end of our yard. It looks so smooth on the declining portion of the yard. It was a concern of ours at first, but the work was done great. I cannot stress this enough, if you are getting a fence built, call McCormick Fences first. You will not need to make another call. From professional, quality work being done to working directly with the owner there are plenty of reasons to have faith that when McCormick Fencing does work for you, they do it right."
"I cannot day enough good things about Dave and his crew. We live in a very rough rocky area, however that didn’t stop McCormick fencing from working diligently to get our fence complete. Work was done in a timely manner and Dave was patient with us while having to have our schedule adjust a few times. Our fence looks amazing and we couldn’t be more satisfied."
"I've been in communication with Dave the owner of the company for over 5 months now. He submitted a contract in timely fashion and said he could do my job back in December and was booked out 3 to 4 weeks. Seemed reasonable. However he kept postponing due to "weather" related issues. Each month he kept pushing me back (after tons of nice weather throughout this light winter mind you). In February he told me my job was coming up very shortly. Finally we get into March and he assures me that he can get to me in April. When I touch base in April he finally admits that he cant get to me because he has to much "local work" work to do (I'm only 25 mile drive away) and has no idea when he can get to doing my job. Finally he admits the truth. If you go with this contractor, be prepared to have your time wasted, and be lied to. All I wanted was a fence for my dog so he could enjoy the outdoors and now its been 5 months with nothing. I wish this contractor could have been direct in telling me that he did not want to do my job, rather than have me sign a contract and keep me on the hook with no intention of doing the work. Totally unprofessional and poor business practice. Go with someone else if you want to have a contractor you can trust."
"My husband and I recently had a brand new chain link fence installed. However, during another project on of our contractors slid and hit the gate. Unable to reach the company who installed the fence M.C. Deck and Fence by either phone or numerous emails, we were able to locate McCormicks. We can’t thank you enough fo not only your timely response, not only repairing the gate, but also every latch not properly installed upside down, the bolts that while they were started, were never tighten down. Also, for replacing the post for the gate which we discovered was maybe 3 inches max into the ground. Not acceptable when you hav creative dogs or grandkids. It’s there to serve a purpose just as well as we now understood why we could not get a lock through the gate latches, because the latch’s were all upside down. We had done many searches, however, our zip code religiously brought up only two fence companies. Some others were listed, but did not serve our area. This was by freak we located McCormmick’s who is a fence company maybe 25 minutes away.Thank you for a job well done, and your customer service."
