Reviews
"ACDS is an incredible school with highly-trained teachers, innovative curriculum and very supportive administrators. A hidden gem in the heart of Alexandria!"
"Our family has been extremely pleased with our decision to send our son to ACDS. He is excelling in his studies and the environment is supportive of positive emotional development."
"I graduated from ACDS in 2015 after going there for 9 years and loved every year I went there. Because of that, I continue to help out with Country Market, the Spring Auction, and other school events. They prepared me for all my core classes in high school. For example, participating in speeches and sweets for 4 years allowed me to excel in all my classes where I make presentations. Also, science class and participating in the science fair set me up in my STEM classes. Finally, understanding the history of religions helped me do well on the AP World History exam. It was great to have such supportive classmates (we are still good friends). The school shaped me and prepared me for high school."
"ACDS is a great school for my kids. It has the community feel, strong, academic rigor and personalized instruction that is the right mix to prepare them for high school and beyond. We love the sports opportunities at an early age and also access to high level music, arts and drama. The facilities are right sized for K-8 and the attention to independence and confidence building in social areas empowers the kids to take risks academically and truly learn problem solving, public speaking and fundamental skills in language arts, science, Singapore math and history/social studies. I joined the board in 2014 so I could be a partner with the school while my kids attend. We’ve enjoyed all aspects of the school and our decision."
"This school gave me a great preparation for high school, and had a community that allowed me to learn a lot."
