"I witnessed the most horrible thing I have ever seen in my life today. It was pure racism!! This store is so disgusting. I have never in my life seen a clerk at a store act so terribly disgusting to a man that came in wanting to know exactly what he needed to do, what their rules are. He left and came back trying to follow the rules.. At the end they screamed at him to leave. I promise you he was not rude not once. PLEASE DONT USE THIS STORE!! The video will be poste!!"
"Today was only the second time I had been to this store. My daughter is 5 months old and I live about an hour from here I made the trip specifically to sell stuff here. The first time I sold her the two ladies working were AMAZING. They helped me carry in my totes since I was by myself with my daughter and they even loaded them back into my car after I was finished. Today I had the TOTAL opposite experience. An older lady working there (I’m assuming a manager) was rude to me from the MOMENT I walked in the door. I only had 1 tote in my car. I walked in and asked if someone could carry it in for me “NO we can’t not do that” She said it EXTREMELY rude. I said well someone helped me last time I was here but oh well so here I am with my 5 month old strapped to my chest trying to carry this tote in and she comes up to me and rudely screams at me that they have a 3 hour wait time. Whatever I was already here so I left my items. Not even an hour later I get a text that my items were ready for pick up. I also brought in a basically BRAND NEW baby bouncer, they took it and very very few of the clothes I brought and offered me $20. What a rip off. Everything I brought in was in great condition some even new. I doubt they even look through it all to be honest. Same lady comes up to me and she doesn’t even say hello greets me or anything doesn’t even ask my NAME. She just says well give you 20$ for what we took do you want it as cash or store credit? I said cash because I will NEVER be back here. ALSO would like to add all the other employees are sitting on the floor stuff spread out EVERYWHERE but they want you to be soooo specific when bringing in items to them or they won’t even bother to look. Don’t waste your time."
"**Cool Kids Consignment on the Mileground is SO much better.** Once Upon a Child in Morgantown is such a trash establishment. A woman on Facebook posted how she was poorly treated by this business and I shared my experience on said post when everyone came attacking her. You know, just because YOU had a good experience doesn’t mean other people can’t have a bad one. Anyway, I was treated AWFUL for absolutely NO reason. The cashier was frustrated with the lady that was in front of me and took it out on me when it was my turn and on another cashier who was obviously new. I put this in a comment just as it is written above - no name calling, no dragging the business (though I am now), etc. and this establishment BLOCKED me on Facebook. I reached out to the owner (kindly, might I add) and asked why I was blocked. Of course she was passive aggressive, said she’d look into it, and never did. It repulses me that a business would go to the lengths of silencing a customer rather than addressing the issue. A professional knows that business management includes dealing with people issues, including with your own staff, not just all the fun cutesy stuff. I stumbled upon Cool Kids Consignment after this incident and I’m never looking back. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. ❤️"
"I very rarely post reviews, specifically bad ones. But I’m just floored. I went to this location on Thursday and had 3 totes of clothes to sell. One had been in storage so it had a bug in it and she didn’t finish looking through them. She asked me to bring them back freshly washed, she was a gem and super nice. Totally understood. I took them all home, washed them and took them back. I got a text within 20 minutes saying they were done. No way that they were looked through. So I go back and offered 17 dollars. I took it, whatever. But I’m attaching the things they did not take. I cannot believe I wasted my time on this. Most of these things were wore one time and bought within the last year. Not to mention I was not given a reason of why hardly anything was taken. I will never shop here again after the experience I had selling. Try the local consignments. They take much more and are much nicer/helpful."
"I just went back 2 days in a row! So first of all, the employees are teens, idk why everyone is so upset about them. They’re kind, quick, and the store is so organized- they’re clearly doing a great job. Anyways I was shopping for 3T and size 7 girls and there was a great selection. PJ sets range from 3.50-5.00 each which isn’t bad. Good quality. I got 3 pairs of brand new shoes for 4.50-6.50. The location of the store is also gorgeous I loved the view . Attached are some of my favorite grabs today."
