"He did an excellent job of a little boy's hair cut, beautiful work! This is a very nice place, clean, the best!"
"A barber that doesn't cut hair to your personal liking. Lost 2 customers in less than 30 seconds. Never went to a place that said they won't do a cleanup before. Horrible first impression for my first time in Pittsburgh."
"Great cut, great price. No frills. Editing after reading one star reviews: First off, this is a one chair, one barber, shop. To answer the phone takes time and attention away from the person in the chair. The only time I've made an appointment was during Covid and the only times I've waited more than 15 minutes for the chair, there were already 2-3 people waiting during peak hours. If you are planning to go in the last hour of his posted day, maybe give a call to check he's not dipping out early on a slow day to take the long way home on his bike, otherwise it's all first come first serve. Don't interrupt if you don't need to. The first time I went here for a haircut I asked for a popular "in" haircut, and was told flat out that that haircut wasn't something he didn't wanted to try to pull off, and that frankly the trend was silly and looked stupid on most people, especially after it grew out. Slightly perturbed, I considered going elsewhere to one of the many local barbers suggested to me by this barber, who might be willing to meticulously craft the cut I wanted. He also offered to cut my hair in a more traditional, yet similar style that he said would look great, especially with the curly texture of my hair. I took his advice and wore that haircut for years, he even went so far as to tell me how to tell other barbers what length I like and how to ask for what I want. My point is, sometimes you have dumb ideas and need a true professional to tell you the straight truth. That's what you're going to get at Wolf's, and if you heed that advice, I'm willing to bet you'll walk out looking and feeling great!"
"From the initial call to check if he had an opening, to walking out after he berated me, it was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a barber. He was rude. He was condescending. He was unprofessional. I walked out after three unbearable minutes with him. Why would a business owner purposely try to make his customer feel stupid? Don’t go here."
"Matt gives you a great hair cut at a very fair price. It always seems like I'm in and out of the chair in no time. This is no knock on the place, but a result of the engaging conversation I have every time I go. Matt is very well read across many interests, so 10 years after first patronizing, we never run out of things to talk about."
