"I had scheduled an appointment for my dog to get dental work and paid $250 for it upon scheduling as a deposit. I cancelled the appointment a few days ahead of time. When I asked if I could have the $250 refunded, they refused because it was non-refundable but said it could be applied to the dental if I wanted to reschedule. The dental was $2500 and I found a low cost clinic that would do it for $475 (Kincheloe South, if you’re interested) so I was not going to reschedule. I asked if I could apply it to future appointments but they said it was only good to be applied to another dental. They said it’s their policy because there is a waitlist for making those appointments. However, there was no waitlist when I made the appointment and I gave them plenty of notice for them to get it filled. If there really was such a big waitlist, it should have been easy for them to fill the spot. Between my partner and I, we had four pets we wanted to take to this vet because before this happened, we had very good experiences there. I had two cats that I wanted to bring in right away and could have easily spent the $250 or more in just one more appointment if they had just let me apply that to my account. I understand that’s their policy but it doesn’t make it ethical. I couldn’t justify spending any more money there after being out $250 for nothing. I recently took one of my cats to Just Cats Clinic in Reston instead where they were very nice. And I spent a lot more $250! My partner didn’t want to take his cat there anymore after that either since they were disrespectful, rude, and unsympathetic toward us. They refused to let us speak to a manager when we wanted to discuss it further. They kept saying they’d call back but then never did. So because they were insistent on holding onto the $250 for no services provided, they’re missing out on thousands of dollars between all of our pets. Again, I get it’s their policy and they’ll hide behind that all they want, but some policies aren’t very good."

"My Balou doesn’t go to vet clinics. He is extremely nervous and needs sedation even for vaccinations. He is 13 years and 11 mos old. I brought our pup to this clinic in June for his needed three-year rabies vax. I made sure to put his muzzle to make sure the staff is protected even though Balou has not bitten anyone to my knowledge. The staff wasfriendly and helpful. Dr. Garcia was patient and gentle with Balou. And our pup was extremely nervous but didn’t growl at Dr. Garcia. A week ago, i noticed angry looking sores on our pup’s paws and one on his right rear leg. I called the clinic and was told there were no appointments available. I was ready to bring Balou to an emergency clinic but tried one more time. The person who answered placed me on hold. Dr. Garcia thankfully prescribed a shampoo and two medications. Balou is certainly better. His appetite is much improved and he is even running when we walk him. Thank you, Dr. Garcia and RAH."

"Really respectful team who did not pass judgement. I took my cat in because she was having bowel issues. The team was able to assess the situation, prescribe some medication, and injected her with fluids because she was a little dehydrated. Within a few hours she was back at it. Lively, cuddling, and looking for her next meal. Truly grateful for the Reston Animal Hospital for quickly getting my kitty well."

"They charge for things without asking you first or telling you that is what they’re doing and you are not allowed in so there is no way of telling if they are really doing what they say. I would trust something like this just because I otherwise wouldn’t have any reason not to but the fact that I took my pet to his first appointment for an issue and told he was guaranteed to be healed and his meds were GUARANTEED to work for 30 days. 2 weeks later I was having the same issue so I called back and they scheduled me for a follow up which was $500 more than the original appointment and they didn’t even tell me the charges until they swiped my card and I had a remaining balance to pay. TAKE YOUR PET ELSEWHERE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!"
