"Avoid this place at all costs if you are a patient who sees multiple doctors/hospitals. Records and billing systems are archaic. There’s no patient portal to access anything and it’s almost impossible to get records, even after filling out the online form and calling. They rarely answer the phones. When I called billing, the only way for me to get a receipt is to have it sent in the mail. It would be easier to have my imaging redone somewhere else just so I could have access to records and billing. I didn’t realize how important that aspect t of care was until it was too late."

"While I have no complaints about the mammogram procedure itsel, I was told that I would get the results within one week. It is now past that time and when I called Washington Radiology this morning I was told that they did not have the report of my mammogram and that it had not been read yet. The person I spoke with then called the Chevy Chase office to see what the hold up was and then told me that I would get a call from the Chevy chase office today. I’m still waiting to hear from them. I experienced the same thing last year, had to call to get the report and then filled out a survey about my dissatisfaction with Washington Radiology and even spoke with a representative who said this would be addressed. Clearly there has been no change. When I go to my doctor, test results are available within 48 hours. Not understanding why this takes longer. Will be looking for a different place to get a mammogram next time."

"What has happened to WRA? I’ve been a patient 2x/year for 15 years. My experience has always been good as they are organized & efficient w/ professional staff. Well, my last 3 visits have been absolute chaos. Mixed up appointments, despite confirmation emails and wait times are up to an hour. As I write this, I’ve been waiting over an hour for a 1pm appointment— no one has even acknowledged the wait. I arrived 7 minutes early, so this isn’t on me and my info & insurance has been the same for years. The last few visits, my results were not even sent to my doctors who ordered the testing— I had to follow up a week later and go on a wild goose chase."

The radiologist took my concerns seriously and thoroughly examined the lump. Although it turned out to be scattered fat tissue, he ordered an MRI to be thorough, which ultimately came back clear.
