Washington Open MRI Chevy Chase, MD 20815

"Great place! I tried to get a traditional open MRI done elsewhere and made it through about 3 minutes and panicked. I have pretty bad claustrophobia and anxiety, and had a miserable time trying to get through the traditional MRI. I googled other options and found Washington Open MRI and made an appointment right away. Making an appointment was easy. The day of my appointment, I brought my mom as a support. My mom was able to sign a quick paper and join me in the room. Initially I still had a lot of anxiety especially with having to have the basket device go over my head as my MRI was for my brain. The technician was very calm and helpful. She asked if I’d like a blanket or the fan on. Personally, having the fan on helped to circulate air and made me feel calmer. My mom was also able to sit on a stool near me. Between each image, the tech let me know how long the next session would be, which eased my anxiety. I was able to finish within 25 minutes. The machine was also way quieter than the other MRI I tried. I highly recommend checking them out if you need an MRI!"
