"I was referred here by my OB to get some tests done. They did not allow anyone other than the patient in the waiting area so my partner had to wait out into the hall. When I was called back I was allowed to go grab him and take him into the room with me. The nurse wasn't friendly at all and once that was done they told me they had to refer me out for additional testing at the children's hospital. I told them I would be fine as long as it was covered under my insurance which they reassured me it was. It was in fact not and I later found out they should never have referred me without consulting my primary care OB. I have spent MONTHS trying to get this issue resolved and after calling back and fourth between my insurance provider, the children's hospital and perinatal associates I am still being billed over 1200 dollars for the appointment. I have spent well over 6 months trying to fix this. I told my Primary OB not to refer anyone else to this location if they can help it."
"One staff person here is extremely rude. Stephanie in particular works the front desk and ironically has very little patience. For such a customer facing role you would think to put someone with more kindness and less attitude. In the middle of me speaking she abruptly placed me on hold and then passed the phone to another representative with much more respect. Although I had to ask this new representative for Stephanie's name 6 different times she finally provided it to me. There are plenty of other polite staff there but Stephanie in particular needs training."
"I come here for anatomy and growth scans instead of my regular OB because they are specialists. At my first anatomy scan Dr. Raval mentioned I should have the NIPT testing done. I explained I declined this with my primary OB due to cost constraints. They than explained they could bypass my insurance and just bill me $99 for the NIPT testing so I agreed to that. The nurse drawing my blood even used a different Natera box for the $99 one versus the one that goes through insurance. This was in May. Now in early September, they incorrectly ran it through my insurance, and now Natera is trying to collect close to $750 from me! I have contacted both Natera and Perinatal multiple times and this has yet to be resolved. Extremely unhappy with this service and the fact that I have to keep wasting my time explaining this because someone in their billing department didn't do their job. Debating canceling my upcoming ultrasound appointment and just seeing if my regular OB can do it because I don't want to give them any more of my $ if they are gonna be like this to deal with!"
"I came here for my NIPT and Nuchal Translucency and had a great experience with the nurses and the doctor. During the ultrasound, the technician made warm conversation with me and told me what she was seeing. Afterward, the doctor answered all of my questions and the nurse who took my blood was so friendly and good with a needle. I was pleasantly surprised that I was given portal access to all of my ultrasound images and even a video, which was a super nice touch!"
"This was actually my final visit with Maryland perinatal and I was honestly a little sad. I always looked forward to my appointments with them. The techs, doctors, and team were all so caring, knowledgeable, and informative. Even when I switched OB’s a few months ago I told my new OB that I had to continue my appointments with Maryland Perinatal because I loved them so much. The techs always seemed just as happy as I was to see my baby and check on his development. They really made this first time mom a lot less stressed, and I will always be thankful to them for taking such good care of my first born son."
