Reviews
"The place has some of the best food in Baltimore. Along with having a great small Italian market feel for getting food to cook at home, you can also get ready to eat sandwiches and dishes to go. The place also has a small eat-in area, but be aware that it is not somewhere to go for a quick bite because they are almost always very busy, especially around lunch time. Overall, it is a must go for great food."
"The food was delicious and served hot. We had the wedding soup and the old Italian and the porketta. They have so many different options including vegetarian choices. Visit the market for all things Italian and a bakery with homemade sweet treats."
"We came here for lunch and it was fabulous!!! So many options, great atmosphere and great employees. We enjoyed our stay here."
"TLDR: Amazing Italian eats with a well stocked Italian market. Come for the italian hoagies and pizza. Vibe: 5/5. Di Pasquale's latest location in Brewers Hill is definitely an upgrade from their humble Highlandtown location. The market is broken up into 2 sections, the grocery market on the left and the sit down full service restaurant on the right. The market is sprawling and has everything you could ever want from an Italian market. From pasta, to frozen house made sauces, to cold deli salads to alcohol, it's a foodie destination! For the restaurant portion, the dining area sits off to the side of the market, giving it a bistro vibe. There are several 4 top tables that can be pushed together to accommodate larger groups. Simple yet clean decor, nothing to complain about! Service: 5\5. The staff at Di Pasquale's were fantastic. We went for a weekday night dinner and were seated immediately. Our waitress did a fantastic job explaining the menu and helping us make a few hard choices (the menu is huge!). Bonus points for our waitress bringing us a whole carafe of iced tea, as it was a hot day outside and several rounds of fresh brewed iced tea was exactly what we needed. Overall, the service was super friendly, quick and very helpful. Food: 5/5. Hands down, some of the best Italian eats in Baltimore. On our visit, we went with the Old World and Tuna Diavolo hoagies and a Briella Piccante pizza. Both subs were well made, stacked moderately high of meats and cheese. The flavor combos of both subs worked amazingly well, both having fresh pickled hots from the deli that just make the sandwich. Bread is also made in house, having a nice chew and structure to hold up against and sort of toppings. The pizza was also very tasty. The Briella Piccante was a Neapolitan red sauce pizza that had spicy soppresseta, mozzarella cheese curds and green olives as the toppings. The combo of spicy meat, creamy cheese curds and briney olives worked wonderfully. The pizza dough is very thin, with a nice solid crunch with every bite (no flop). Pizza size is approximately 10", so the perfect size to share if ordering other items or for 1 person. Since no Italian meal is complete without dessert, we opted to order some of their fresh made pistachio gelato, chocolate dipped cannoli and the fried dough with Nutella. Di Pasquale's cannoli game was on point. Generous cream filling with a crunchy outer shell that was dipped in chocolate. The pistachio gelato was also a winner, including huge pieces of pistachio in every bite. The fried dough was reminiscent of a funnel cake, but without the crunch which is my favorite part. However, the Nutella sauce was a nice touch for dipping. Overall, our entire meal cost around $65 which is more than reasonable considering the amount of food we ordered. If you are looking for a casual Italian meal for both lunch and dinner, I highly suggest stopping by Di Pasquale's for a bite!"
"Well, there is not much to say other than WOW. This place is a treasure trove of amazing food. There is a substantial market here that is filled with European delicacies that would make you eat glass to get another bite. They are that good. My wife and I had the opportunity to speak with the owner for a bit. He was manner the meat counter and was very kind and humble. I shared we had driven in from Dallas Texas and he was as he put it. Honored we chose to eat as his place while we were in town. Well, it was all our pleasure because we still talk about this food months later. The review is much over due and we look forward to going back one day!"
