"Had my recently adopted dog come home a couple weeks ago with what was assumed to be "kennel cough." I reached out to La Plata Animal Hospital (where he went before he was released from the shelter) for any follow up information and any additional paths I can take due to his cough lingering for over a month now (x-rays, nebulizer, etc.) I was told on the phone that the doctor would call me back in a few days. A week later and no call. I reached back out to try and set something up for a visit, and I was met with a rude receptionist who frustratingly told me "well, if your dog has had a cough this long he just needs to go somewhere and get an x-ray." Thanks for nothing lady. Screw this place."

"Animal clinic of La Plata saved our dog's life! Our dog Atlas was swelling up due to an allergic reaction of some kind with trouble breathing. My husband was on the way to the emergency vet but that was going to add 20 extra minutes to the drive. Our dog was in the back seat on the verge of losing consciousness and having labored breathing, so in a panic while passing by, he stopped at animal clinic. Animal clinic saw him right away and all of the staff were so pleasant the entire interaction even though we of course did not have an appointment and should not have just shown up. They were so understanding with us and sweet to our dog. We are so appreciative! Animal clinic also did both of our dog's neutering surgeries and everything went very smoothly. Highly recommend!"
