"Saw Tina there today (she was recommended to me by a friend). Tina was wonderful. She was very kind and very precise with the dipping powder and pedicure Side note: There was a man in the pedicure chair next to mine getting a pedicure. He was playing something on his phone (youtube video maybe) and I had to ask him to turn the sound off. He turned the volume way down, almost off, bqqut I still heard it. He also took a few phone calls while he was getting his pedicure. After my pedicure, he was 2 chairs away when I moved from the pedicure chair to my manicure station. I found his behavior to be disruptive to me enjoying my service there and was glad to see him leave. I hope if a client does this there again, that his nail technician or the owner tells him he needs to turn the speaker off on his phone and not carry on phone calls until he leaves the nail salon."
"Please take my advice. Do not go here!! If you do you will leave regretting you ever spent your hard earned money there! I came in for a polish change on my toes from another salon and left with a botched nail job :( Firstly, the lady started doing my toes without even doing the big toe acrylic fill in. When I asked her was she going to do the fill in, she said “oh I didn’t know you wanted that, you didn’t tell me” … like what? Then she told me she couldn’t do what I was asking for (either she was lazy or they gave me the lady who just came off training) and eventually talked me into getting another design half way through my service. She put the design on top of the already cured gel French design and let’s just say I ended up with about 8 coats of gel polish on my toes…."
"I went here for years and liked it, but stopped going a year or two ago because they raised all their prices and the quality of the work was no longer there. I decided to give them another try because it was the perfect location for my daughter to have 6 girls come for her birthday party. They weren't ready for us even though we had appointments, seemed annoyed that we were there, did a terrible job on most of the girls and CHARGED ME for the girls to get more than one color. Are they serious?? I always get a different color in my ring fingers and have never been charged anywhere else. This added a decent amount of money to our bill. Never again! Highly recommend going to one of the other nail places in Pikesville. There are several great ones!"
"I needed to have my nails done on Sunday 7/29/19, since Nail Center was literally right there I decided to give them a try instead of my regular nail salon and that was a HUGE MISTAKE. When I stepped in, I showed the lady my nails (the cards at the station where she was sitting said Tina, so I am assuming this is her name). She recommended DIP/SNS and since I had gotten it so many times before I agreed. During the service I noticed she was dipping my nails in the powder more times than I was use to, but since everyone has their own method of doing things and I am not a nail tech I decided not to question her. After she was finished I noticed my nails were so fat and it appeared there was too much of the product on my nails, I also noticed my cuticles looked soooo messy as if a 5 year old had painted my nails. I told her I did not like my nails, immediately she threw my nails on the table and called someone over. She and the lady exchanged words in their language and the lady tried to convince me that this is how the DIP is suppose to look. I disagreed and told her I have gotten DIP many times before and it never looks like this. I asked if she could file the product down, she said if she filed it down it would look like marble and walked away. Next thing I know I was being told to wash my hands, because I am black and a majority of their clientele are middle-upper class white women I did not want to appear to be the ignorant black woman causing a scene as I am sure they were already expecting me to be, I got up and washed my hands. She offered me a $10 discount and charged my card, apologized and walked away. Disappointed, embarrassed and upset I got up and began walking to my car trying to convince myself I could deal with my nails for two weeks. As I looked down at my nails however I became so annoyed, I turned around and went back. I told them once again that I didn’t like my nails and that they could keep the money but I just wanted them to remove the product from my nails. All of a sudden they started speaking their language, then I was told to have a sit at a station and then abruptly told to stop turn around and have a sit and someone would attend to me shortly. I waited 15 minutes, until a man asked me to sit in his chair, after I sat down he looked at my nails took a picture and asked me what I wanted and I told him I wanted them removed and replaced with gel polish. When he started filing my nails down I actually began to feel better, but to my surprise, he got up grabbed a gel polish and painted it on top of the DIP nails that he filed down. Completely frustrated I just got up and walked out and went to my regular nails salon to have it removed and done the way I wanted. Nail Center gave me $10 off so I paid $30 instead of $40 which is their original price. I paid $55 to have my nails redone and added a pedicure. Nail Center cannot help that a majority of their clientele are middle-upper class white women, but it is very obvious that those are the only clients they are concerned with pleasing and whose presence and money they value and respect. For their clientele to be as such, you would expect that they would do a much better job than what I received. My experience was a waste of my time and money, I was completely disappointed. I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years, and I have never been so dissatisfied with my nails. If you are not a middle-upper class conservative white woman, please take your service elsewhere. This is not the place for you."
"This place is my favorite location for all nail/spa services. Super clean super friendly and always do an amazing job. I especially love the convenience Cindy gives in scheduling appointments (by text!), being open late without pressure to finish up and making sure the experiance is a pleasant one. I will always be back :)"
