"I'm so happy with my decision to get my puppy spayed at Bowie Spay & Neuter in September! Getting my pup spayed in DC was too expensive, so we looked at more affordable spay clinics and picked Bowie based on the reviews. I have a 4 pound puppy, so I was extra nervous about her undergoing a major surgery. She also needed to get 2 teethes extracted. The service was GREAT. The vet techs handled her with great care. Her incision pretty much healed within a week. I had a few questions the days following the surgery. I used the off-hour phone number they gave me and someone responded promptly with good instructions. They even checked in on my puppy a few days later to make sure she's doing okay. The service is great and the employees there are all super nice. My worst fear is if my little baby isn't taken good care of and the team at Bowie did a great job. I highly recommend!"

"We had just had another puppy spayed last year at our vet last year, which cost over $1k. She died in the District Dogs flood, which was traumatic, so we were extra cautious when looking for a place to get our new puppy spayed. My family could not handle another tragedy. We didn't want to spend over $1k again if we didn't need to, and the vet even suggested going somewhere else to save some money. I called around to at least 7 places, including vets and high volume spay and neuter places, and read all the reviews. I felt uncomfortable with some of the deaths reported at other high volume spots and comments about staff being rude and unprofessional. I spoke to someone at Bowie Spay and she explained the vet has been doing high volume spay and neutering for 20 years, and when she started this practice all of her staff who had worked with her for 7 years wanted to stay with her and come along. I immediately had a good feeling about this place, which has only been reinforced with each interaction. Staff were professional, organized, and kind. The procedure went well, and with blood work, microchipping, nail clip, surgery, cone, and meds it was about $310."

"The rescue I am fostering with recommended this place. It is at a much lower price point than surrounding area spay and neuter places. Beth at the front desk was a gem from the point I made the appt to the pickup. She is knowledgeable and respectful. My foster is extremely anxious, but the team worked with us to make sure everyone was safe and comfortable. After a rough day after surgery, she has fully rebounded five days later.
