"Friendly. Informative and in general exceptionally helpful and patient. Exquisite patterns and fabrics If you are Nesting and a few extra dollars this is your Disney Land"
"My Wife and I used them for recovering our dining room chairs, and they never completed the work. When Calico told us the cushions were ready, they asked to be paid in full, and we paid them in full. When we got home, we discovered one of the cushions did not fit the chair. Out of the set of chairs, Calico made one of the cushion frames about two inches too short (front to back). Calico said that we needed to send a correct cushion back as an example for Calico to recreate the incorrect cushion frame and recover it. We gave them both the example cushion and the one that was incorrectly made, but they did not finish the job and did not refund our money. It is now five months and we still are missing both the example cushion and the one that was incorrectly made."
"Sorry Calico, but I have to express my frustrations with my last visit. Went on a Sunday, mid-afternoon. 2 cars in parking lot. Not one person acknowledged my presence when I came in. I wandered through the store several times. No one said a thing. I believe there were representatives at the desk that were not engaged with a customer. I asked about the location of one of the fabrics on display. The representative said: "It's over in the greys." Admittedly, she was searching for a fabric to show a waiting customer. I went to the grays and couldn't find it, so I left. Fewer fabrics from which to choose. Showroom looks kinda vacant in some areas. I'm a repeat customer. Over the years, I have purchased draperies, roman shades, 1 sofa, 2 chairs, an ottoman, pillows, 2 bedspreads, 1 bedskirt, and 2 Euro pillow covers. I'm sure there are others on the Main Line that have purchased more. I had a particularly good experience when a designer came to my home and we picked fabrics and trims for a bathroom project. Not sure if you need an appointment just to browse now, but it would be nice to at least acknowledge that a potential customer came through your door. If I would have needed a design consultation, I definitely would have made an appointment. This level of attention doesn't match all the emails I receive from Calico! So, your emails worked. I have a project in mind. And, I came to my nearest store. But, my experience was not positive. Perhaps work to up your game?"
"I purchase a couch, 2 club chairs and a large ottoman. It’s was a pricey investment. The couch back pillows were poorly constructed and the store did not stand behind their workmanship. The line of questioning was insulting. They kept trying to find a reason not to take responsibility. First it was the age - then an animal perhaps. When neither of those reason made sense they fell back on having to talk to the manufacturer. A reputable furniture store would have stood behind their quality. I am leaving 2 stars as the club chairs have held up nicely. My purchase was less than 2 years ago. The cost of improving the couch cushion was a fraction of the overall purchase price. It was very short sighted of the Wayne store not to stand behind their product. I would not recommend buying furniture here."
"Ordered curtains in October and fabric was back ordered until January. We had to follow up in February and they were finally installed in March. The good thing is that they will have someone come to the house to consult with you after you select your fabrics and if you are not happy with the final product, the home office is very responsive and will bend over backwards to rectify the situation."
