"Danny and his crew constructed stick framing, installed insulation, and finished the interior walls of the pole barn next to my Rock Hall house. They covered the 12-foot walls with plywood and Homasote, a fiber board good for pinning up artwork. Also, they built a sturdy loft in the back half of the garage for storing artwork. Electricians installed LED strip lighting on the ceiling and an HVAC crew installed 2 new mini splits inside and 2 new heat pumps outside, so the 1100 sq. ft. space can now be used as a year-round studio. This renovation shored up the building while making it more comfortable to work in. On the second floor of my house, Danny followed the same formula, assembling stick framing, installing insulation and sheetrock, painting and finishing the new walls. In the empty spaces alongside the floor, Danny installed new headers to carry the load beneath the roof eaves and built shelving in those dead spaces. He also framed in walls for a new bathroom; a toilet, shower, and utility sink will soon be installed within. As in the garage, LED strip lighting was installed in the ceiling, and new mini splits at either end of the 1,400 sq. ft. space. The second floor is now one large, open room with lots of natural light that will be used as a work area, making it an ideal space for a busy artist. November 22, 2023"
