"My husband and I had a much needed night out and away which started with dinner at Cellaio. From the time we entered and throughout the entire dinner, we had nothing but stellar service. Our waiter, Tyler, was very attentive and was able to answer our questions from the wine selection to food. He made excellent recommendations and took such good care of us. The calamari was like nothing I've had before. The seasoning was melt in your mouth yummy. I had the petit file with shrimp and my husband, the skirt steak. Both were cooked exactly as we asked and expertly seasoned. I ordered the creamed spinach (my mouth is watering just thinking of it) and my husband, the pureed potatoes. Every one of the dinner items were beyond our expectations and amazingly delicious. Our waiter, Tyler, recommended the sorbets - we asked him to surprise us and he asked our preferences. The coffee and sorbets were a splendid way to close out our dinner. We both left with smiles on our faces and very happy bellies. Can't wait to go back and we will be sure to ask for Tyler."
"On Saturday, December 9, 2023, my fiancé and I drove to the Catskills for dinner for her birthday after securing a reservation at Food Networks, Mr. Chopped, Scott Conant's Cellaio Italian Steakhouse at Resorts. We arrived early and played our luck at the tables but as expected, to no avail. We arrived about 15 minutes before sit-down and waited at the crowded bar for our seating. Shortly thereafter, we were escorted to our table. There we were met with a rather kurt, Brusque, and unfriendly wait staff to take our drink and food order. We ordered the "king of red meats," porter house, medium rare for 2, mushrooms, puree of potato, and a bottle of cabernet. The waiter arrived, poured a sample, and began to pour without the routine of cork inspection. I reminded him to pass the cork over and he seemed a little perturbed by this request. Once the food arrived, and much to my disappointment, it arrived cold. The puree was delicious and the rest well, I've had a much more robust, delicious, and respectful experiences at other red meat purveyors. Upon the changing of plates post our appetizers of Shrimp Cocktails and Oysters, the same rude waiter literally slammed my fingers with a plate after he failed to place rather than slide the plate to its final resting place. I 'll culminate my disappointment with Mr. Conant's restaurant by saying the following: You, Mr. "Chopped," have a pretty large set of meatballs calling the shots of neophytes who are castigated by you on television after your dismal presentation of what you consider "a fine dining experience." As far as my experience, I'll take my nine remaining fingers elsewhere where wait staff commanding 20% gratuity appreciate my business."
"This is my fourth time here and every time we have had a great experience. The food is always five stars so just expect really good food! I always get steak but tonight I had the duck and it was cooked perfectly. My 16 month old enjoyed the crab legs and duck and loved the carrots!! Tyler was our waiter and he made our experience extra special! I honestly have to say he was the best waiter we have ever had! Extremely informative, kind and paid attention to all the fine details. I needed paper napkins because you moms know how toddlers can be and they left the restaurant to get paper napkins!! They also brought out a dessert for my husbands birthday which was so amazing!! Just amazing all around!!! Thank you!!!"
"We had Rudy as our waiter and he was absolutely on point the entire night. The drinks were also fantastic. My party had the lobster vodka pasta, steak, & lobster tail. The lobster tail was the best thing hands down. The pasta was loaded with lobster which made the price somewhat worth it. However, the pasta itself lack some flavor. For $60 I would expect a better tasting pasta. I didn't try the steak but was told it hasn't bad at all. Pull apart rolls as the appetizer was pretty good as well."
