"Very good selection and prices. Always keeps their shelves stocked and well organized. And the EV charging stations out front are a great added bonus for any EV drivers out there!"
"Today, I ordered a juice and classic veggie sandwich at the Timonium location. Once it was time to put the advocado onto my sandwich, I was advised that there was no avocado available. As a substitution for the missing key ingredient, I asked to replace the avocado with olives on half of the sandwich and mushrooms on the other half. When it was time to check out, an employee named Austin asked the girl who made my sandwich if I got any add ons. She replied with, yes, she got olives and mushrooms and I was charged an additional .75 cents. I advised Austin that the 1/2 serving of olives and 1/2 serving of mushrooms were substitutions for the avocado that was not available. Austin became very condescending and stated, you have two choices, I can make you another sandwich w/o the avocado (even though the sandwich comes with avocado) and without the add ins or you can pay for what you’re getting. I asked for the store manager and Austin stated, “no, I’m handling this situation, not a manager.” Once I insisted, he came back with a girl named Jane. Austin then yelled:”I’m throwing the sandwich in the garbage”, and he DID! I asked him not to throw it out and he did it anyway while yelling: “you’re not getting mushrooms and olives!” Jane approached me and aggressively stated, “you have to pay for add ons, that’s just the way it is.” I asked Jane if she was open to at least having me explain what happened before approaching me and talking at me w/o hearing me out! Jane became visibly angry as Austin stood by her side whispering to her “don’t give it to her at that price, do not give in.” When I asked for their names, Austin stated, “don’t tell her the name of who made her sandwich, it’s none of her business!” I asked Jane how much a side of olives costs, she stated .75, I asked Jane how much a side of mushroom costs, she stated .75, and lastly I asked his much a side of avocado costs and she stated 1.50. I asked Jane if the math made sense and she just stared me down refusing to respond. She could not understand that the replacements on the sandwich made up for the missing avocado. After about 60 seconds of a nasty stare down from Jane, she stated, you can do what Austin offered and let him make you another sandwich w/o avocado or pay the up charge. I asked for the store manager and she stated, “I’m the only manager here!” I walked to the customer service desk and requested the store manager, Kenny, who arrived promptly. Kenny then went to the grocery manager Jane as well as Austin and they both confirmed the accuracy of my experience and remained adamant that they took the correct courses of action. Here’s where the story gets worse. The store manager, Kenny, got all the facts and DID NOT apologize OR offer to comp my lunch. He came back to the bakery after speaking with the grocery manager Jane and told Austin, “she needs the sandwich remade with whatever she wants on it.” I advised that due to the contention, I did not want Austin making my sandwich. That’s when Austin got in the store manager’s face and said, “If you let her demand that someone else make her sandwich, you’re letting her DISRESPECT me and every other customer will think they can do the same thing! She’s saying I’m not good enough to make her sandwich!” The store manager, Kenny pleaded with Austin and I witnessed their power struggle. I ended up paying for the juice and leaving without a sandwich! I am so saddened by all of this. MOMs was my favorite store for groceries and lunch and I always refer friends to MOMs. I spend too much money at MOMs monthly to be bullied by people half my age, berated, and down right treated subhuman in nature, I have made the family decision to shop elsewhere. This breaks my heart, as MOMs always felt like home to me, however, once Covid hit, the constant change in staffing has diminished, if not eliminated the service offered at MOMs altogether."
"An employee named Reina was berating a cashier in front of about 6 people on line to be checked out. If Reina is management I can’t support shopping with this company. Witnessing such unprofessional behavior on top of the dramatic drop in quality of bread at the sandwich shop “Bake Shop”, which is connected to the store and was amazing 2 years ago and is now stale gas station take out level bad when they are even serving during their advertised hours."
"I have been shopping here for about 10 years . I like some of the items I can’t get in my local Wegmans. Employees often change. And some are nice . But most just trying to get through the day and not happy to be there. My last 2 visits were a shock. They hire a protective services so there is a huge guy with loaded gun at the door. When an asked cashier why gun in grocery store she said she has no idea and was asking the same question from her manager. I don’t know if I feel comfortable going there."
