"I have had several interactions with this business, and none of them have been positive. I don't know why I continued to give them chances- I guess it's because I always try to support a local business over a big box store. I have read the negative reviews here and can confirm that they are true - the owner, Mike, has zero customer service, does not treat potential or current customers with any respect, and honestly doesn’t seem to even care if you have a question or would like to purchase something from him. He knows that he is the only local game in town and will not do anything to earn your business. Not only has he been rude to me, but I have witnessed him yelling at his employees both at the retail location and the local BMX track. He has no customer service skills and clearly no desire to learn any at this point in his life. I have asked Mike questions and been met with condescension and rudeness every time. I would rather give my money to Amazon than support a business that doesn’t support its customers. I will not be recommending this business to any of my BMX friends or clients, and will actively warn people to stay away. The only reason I can think of that this business is still open is because it is the only BMX shop in the region. Make the drive and go anywhere else to purchase what you need, this guy won’t care either way."
"I think his dogs have not had a bath in a very long time, because the shop smells like wet dog when you walk in. But if you're able to look past how the shop looks on the outside (and the dog smell inside), he offers good prices for bike repairs (and I 'veheard that he also donates a lot of the bike's shop's resources and his time volunteering towards kids in the community). So I choose to bring my bike to his shop to fix a pedal crank arm that had broken, and he quoted me what I felt was fair price to replace the pedal and crank arm. I called 1-week later and he said he was still waiting for the part to arrive in the mail, and so I called 4-days later and was told my bike was fixed and ready for pickup. I found to repair was done well, and (a bit to my surprise) a brand new chain was on my bike instead of my old chain. Maybe it was just easier for his workers to throw away my old chain and install a clean new chain, but in any case, since it was at no extra cost to me, it made the price of that particular bike repair (when I factored in the cost of the parts) a very good bargain!"
"I've been going to Mike's for 35+ years and have bought 90% of my bikes from him. His knowledge and commitment are to the buyers benefits. He sells new and used and does any repair or services needed. His personality can be seen through his art as well. If you have someone wanting to get involved with BMX racing he is one of the few that can help with this. If it's not in the shop it can be ordered and assembled for you. This is a business owner that gives back to St.Marys in so many ways. Thanks Mike for my first Diamond Back Mike Dominguez and all those that followed."
"Bought 2 bikes from a friend, paid $50. They needed a tune up. Mike was great, friendly, but busy. Hes got two beautiful helpers that greet you at the door and follow you around to make sure you have what you need (max and sasha, German shepherds). A tune up for 2 bikes with no parts needed was $60 a pop, and the bikes were good as new and ready to ride."
"Mike is super friendly and knows everything about bikes. They sell new and used ones there. The new ones aren't less than $150/$200. I had to get my bike fixed. I dropped it off and it was ready a week later. It was $75 to fix."
