"I took my mom here in December and it was great!! Great food and great service. Went back with guest in December. The service was horrible. There was a party upstairs so we sat forever for anything. Went back today because I had gift cards. We checked online and it said the dining room opened at 3pm. When we arrived at 3pm we were told there was a party(they were rude) so we had to sit in the bar. I ordered a $29 meal and was not offered any rolls for our table because I guess we were not in the dining room. The waiter never stopped back. We had to flag down a hostess to get refills on our water. I will not be back anytime soon. After the first visit I thought I found a new favorite place. The food is good but part of eating out is the service. They need to step it up in the service department!!"
"My party of eight had a great time last night. I love what Chef Lindsey is doing with the menu. It makes the Rising Sun Inn a place where hungry people can be pleased whether they are looking for a pub burger, comfort food, or a fine dining experience. Everyone in my party loved their meals. My black bass was delicate and flavorful. I think I could have eaten about 20 of the bison poppers though! I went there often with my parents starting in the late 70's/early 80's and was introduced to Clams Casino there. My parents would certainly approve of the cuisine Chef Lindsey has created!"
"Fantastic atmosphere and fantastic food!! The service was great as well as the wide variety of selections. Drinks were also great and the history of this place is remarkable! The Liberty Bell was actually stored here at some point as well. It's an amazing place with a great atmosphere, friendly service and food!"
"This place is something of a local institution. My first experience was a high school dance back in 1977. Dinner tonight seemed a little off. Maybe it was the chef's vacation week. There were no dinner specials which are often the best part of the menu. Our favorite appetizer is the smoked salmon, but they didn't have it. Sometimes they server oysters on the half shell, but not tonight. The bus boy literally wanted to take our dessert plates while we were still eating. There was no cappuccino or espresso available for dessert. Approach with caution until they sort this out; we won't be going back anytime soon."
"11 years later I’m here and it’s phenomenal!!! I had my graduation dinner here in 2011 and I haven’t been back since but their brunch is phenomenal and the bartender is amazing! So happy I went ! Thank you for making my experience as an adult great I will be back with my husband next time !"
