Reviews of Melt
"Great first time experience at Melt. We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary for dinner. From the appetizers to the dessert everything was delicious! We definitely will be returning on a regular basis."
"Thursday, December 21st, 2023 First time here! The ambiance/atmosphere is BEAUTIFUL. Comfortable seating. Decorated adorably & tastefully for the holidays. The lights on the ceiling definitely make a statement. The service is top-notch. Highly impressed with the D.O.O. and our waitress Kristen. They were absolutely superb. Professional & extremely personable, both of them. I enjoy the fact that they do have celiac disease safe dishes, including gluten-free pasta. I ordered the gluten-free penne con pollo. It's described as sautéed chicken, zucchini, squash, artichokes, parmigiano, sun dried tomato cream. The cream sauce was absolutely to die for. Fan effing tastic. The veggies were on point & also delicious. Unfortunately, the pasta was *severely* hard & undercooked & the chicken was severely overcooked & tough to chew (think of a rubber tire). I do not send food back - by the time a new meal comes out, my partner would have been done eating & that's not enjoyable. I was surprised at how bad this dish was done considering how up scale & expensive this place is. The ambiance & service does not matter if the food can't live up to everything else at this restaurant. I can't in good conscious give more than a 3 star for food. I would still try Melt again & get a different dish. The caprese salad was also really enjoyable. My partner got the sword fish & had amazing things to say, although I did not personally try it. Based on other reviews, I'm also surprised they did not request that I take my hat off. I did indeed wear a gorgeous raccoon hat to my table, but by default & manners, I removed it without being requested."
"Nice dining experience. Very crowded (at least during the holidays), but not loud, and the big tables help make it feel open. I had jambalaya, a special, which was very good. The ravioli was pretty good, but the Margherita pizza was below average. The caprice appetizer was also very good. A friend had the $40 fish stew and seemed to really enjoy it."
"4 of us went in for my birthday dinner and the lighting was elegant and dim. The red under lighting was very calming making a great overall atmosphere. I had asked to try 3 wines to which the waitress said no problem then when she came back she only had 2. I had asked and she said they don’t normally do that but she’ll get my 3rd wine in quite a rude manner. Seemed a little bit extra, no need to make me feel guilty before grabbing me the wine anyway. The food was amazing and we were all pretty satisfied. Dishes are clearly thoughtfully created. The portions are enough for a second meal. I had the seafood stew and the scallops were slightly overdone but overall the meal was enjoyable and delectable. The sauce was excellent. I was dying to try the chocolate cake but accepted the complementary cheesecake for my birthday. Mind you there are no exceptions even with the hefty price you pay walking out."
"This is good restaurant. Solid in many ways. Would encourage them to add more variety to the menu to not only try to be the best in the Lehigh valley, but tempt those of us in the Philly burbs to drive north rather than our options in Montgomery and Bucks county. By adding more authentic dishes and a robust middle level menu, you could attract even more people and increase your status and success!"
