"We sat at the bar and Brenda gave us excellent service. Nice rustic look to the restaurant. We just had burgers which were cooked to our med rare liking."
"Food was delicious ! Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The meals come with salad and homemade warm bread. Alot of great specials for food and drinks. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!"
"Honestly, this place is such a gem. The service was spot on, multiple staff members were around and extremely attentive as well as knowledgeable on specials and menu items. The atmosphere was very quaint and cozy, with a wonderful view of the river. Very nicely decorated and set up as well. Everything was amazing and prepared very well. But the shining star of the visit was most definitely the bread. Home made pumpkin loaf.(I was told this was made by the owners mother.) I would come back for that alone! All and all, will most definitely be a regular spot for road-trips through the upper east coast. Thank you so much for your hospitality!"
"The Riverside Cafe was such an amazing find; the food was awesome, the back room overlooking the river was beautiful, and the folks were very nice. We were driving back to Long Island from St. Bonaventure University along Route 17 and were getting very hungry on a Sunday evening. We passed one of those blue signs that said "Food Exit 92" and just pulled off. The expectations were not that high given the muddy parking lot and the dark, small looking building. The expectation didn't go up as we entered the dark dining room/bar. Then we were taken to the back room with its atrium style windows and beautiful wood. There was a single server working very hard to care for five full tables plus the bar area. I had the trout stuffed with crab: it was amazing!!! Our son had the stuffed pork chop - it was tender and tasty, he loved it. My wife had the crab cake - real lump crab and not overly breaded. I don't know if we'll pass that way again but if we do we will for sure stop back in!! Well done!!"
"The overall experience was great, service was polite, the room with view to the river feels warm and cozy. Food was to taste, the lamp chups were really tasty, a tinny salty, but overall recommend. Salad had good size, and the bread was fresh and crunchy. The atmosphere at this place is really nice and friendly. If I come by again, I will come in again for sure."
