The Inn Starlight Lake & Restaurant

"We went here later in season on fall solstice for our anniversary. Had a few drinks at the bar before bed. The Inn is older. As expected, will have all the quirks of a 100 year old Inn. We rented one of the cabins. It was bit chilly at night and the inn keeper told us the cabins are not open during this part of season but let us stay in one anyways. Very grateful for that. Had a great breakfast in the morning and gave us the energy to travel and explore the area. The inn is set in a really beautiful spot. At night, it lives up to its name “Starlight”. You can see so many stars! In the morning, the fog from the cold air across the warm lake was spectacular. Would like to visit again. Thanks for the stay!"

"YIKES! Are the four and five star reviews even real?!? Read the one and two star reviews. They are real, fair and accurate. If you drive up to the place and it looks like your 'cup of tea', enjoy. If you drive up, gasp, want to cry momma, start exhibiting signs of tourettes, just keep driving.. I initially thought I should write a long review with feedback and suggestions. No. Nothing is going to help except a wreaking ball. The Inn Keeper should retire and enjoy her remaining years. God bless. Staff: grade A Accommodations: grade F"

"I had the pleasure of proposing to my fiancé at The Inn at Starlight. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. From the dinner to the champagne celebration, it was a perfect night. I would highly recommend staying at the inn. It’s a lovely place."

"Only a four because the rooms are rustic, but definitely clean! Enjoyed an early morning paddle in one of their kayaks. The restaurant is first rate, we will definitely be back."

"The Inn at Starlight Lake is set on a beautiful lake in up state Pennsylvania. The staff were very nice and extremely accommodating. We would caution that while it is themed for turn of the prior century and full of unique antiquities, the Inn is run down. At about 9:30 we heard a bus pull up outside unloading a large group of high school aged kids. From that point until about midnight they were extremely loud, cursing and running everywhere. We told the staff downstairs, and there was another guest bringing this to their attention ironically. As the kids were in the lobby they were already aware. She said the bus would pick them up at about 12am; they're counselors from a nearby summer camp and they come most weekends to unwind. It's sad to see that the owner doesnt realize this is hurting their business and allows this situation for patrons trying to sleep and find a quiet B&B. The room was relatively clean but a bit musty. There were toys strewn around the lobby. From the start it was clear that they are family friendly but has some issues. We wish them the best."
