Friendly's

"Good American food, reasonable prices. Wait staff here were particularly pleasant and helpful. The Friendly's restaurants are very much family-with-kids oriented restaurants, so you have to expect some noise and behaviors that come with kids. They have outdoor seating, which looked quite nice (hard to tell in the snow) and plenty of parking around the building. Don't skip dessert! Love the ice cream!"

"Used to eat at Friendlies often growing up. Seeing signs as we exited was nostalgic. Overall, if I had to say, it just seemed like everything we ordered tasted like it was microwaved. It was all pretty bland. Mostly comfort food stuff…compare to a local diner, it’s no contest. Service was a little slow, perhaps understaffed. The ice cream was a big hit, we all liked that. Waitress had us sign our check with a crayon? Must be a pen shortage in Pennsylvania? Come on Friendlies! Rooting for a comeback."

"COVID has hit Friendly’s hard. Their family-friendly atmosphere has suffered as well as their location count. They filed bankruptcy in late 2020 and more than 300 locations shut down in the last decade. With little more than 100 left, they require our continued patronage to stay afloat. The Friend-z’s were phenomenal. The ice cream is always stellar here. The food was excellent (extra points for using oyster crackers with the soup, it seems no one does that anymore) but I wasn’t crazy about the breading on the pickle fries. Julian M was awesome. I’m sure Tannersville business would pick up with more servers of his caliber!"

"Our server Lisa was so nice! We came in around 8 and she was quick with getting our order and the food was amazing! We got ice cream and she made it perfectly. The little cat sticker on our receipt was so cute too!!! Thank you so so much for your wonderful service tonight!"
