Today, I went in to get a tune up on my bike - and they fixed it quickly while I was able to get some of their delicious coffee for the first time. "10/5 stars if I could… by far the best shop in the DMV and it’s not close. My dad knew them way back in the 90s and bought me my first big-girl bike there when I was a teenager. And they just worked a miracle on my vintage Bianchi to give it a second life. In the area bike scene I wouldn’t trust my gear with anyone else. They’ve been around the block, and they won’t try to upsell or clown you if you walk in with questions. They are notably also queer and trans friendly, which is very important to me (and should be expected in 2023, but this sadly sets them apart from many others as well). Just come here, you won’t be disappointed."

"Exceptional Service. Laurie was professional and knowledgeable. Family owned business. They had everything I wanted. Also the bike I wanted and set it up for me. I will be going back and highly recommended. I even got a coffee. Most important, reasonable prices. 3/22- I went back a few more times. I even purchased another bike. The customer service is exceptional. After my 1st Trail Ride, I thought I blew the seals on the forks. They checked it out & got me back on the road. Highly recommended 9/22- My Specialized Fuse bike rear hub failed while riding on the trail. I brought it in and Paul & the staff did an incredible job of filing the warranty paperwork & repairing my bike in 1 week! Can't ask for better service or turn around. Thank you so much. 3/23- My awesome ride was shortened by bent derailleur. Kept dropping the chain. I tried to fix myself. Proteus fixed it in less than 30 minutes.
