The food is solid and unpretentious. No avocado toast here. The breakfasts are big and the prices are low."

"What a great little spot of Route 309. Was coming back to the valley from Tamagua and was hungry for some breakfast. Stopped into Katie’s and was promptly seated into a booth. Don’t let the old school decor fool you because I have found that these little whole in the wall places have the best food. We ended up getting breakfast for two and I had two eggs over easy home fries and white toast the person I was with had a 2 egg and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll with home fries. We had coffee and a Pepsi and the bill was like $17. The food came out hot then made just like we ordered and it was absolutely delicious. The home fries potatoes with the spices were so good. The white toast was made perfectly not burnt or undercooked just right. Our waitress was very attentive came over to us right away took her order brought the food out a few moments later as soon as it was done. If I’m ever back in this area again I’ll make sure I check out this place for lunch next time."
