"When I was a kid this place was great but something seems to have changed in the last 10 years or so. The food isn't even close to as good as it used to be and the service has taken a slide downhill. My pork chop was dry and tasted like the only seasoning used was maybe a dash of salt. It's still really nice inside but it just isn't what it once was."

"We've lived in the area for almost 4 years, but just now started to come here and love it. The atmosphere of an old stone building, low ceilings in the main house, and ultimately the food bring us back for a quick bite or a special celebration. It's not cheap, but it's goooood. Our new, favorite, the poke tuna tacos are to die for. Crispy, fresh and juicy, served with what seems like excellent home-made potato chips, it's a big enough meal that you might sometimes take home. Especially if you start with a creamy, smooth and very tasty Lobster bisque. My meal was the pork shank and while it wasn't as much food as it looks in the picture (or on the plate), it still satisfied me with cracked pepper flavor, little bit of fatty goodness, and excellent pairing with polenta. And if you have room, definitely try the deserts. Any of them. UPDATE 7/2/23: new favorite appetizer - Salmon Crostini and a very good main course, albeit a bit fatty Norwegian Salmon. The salmon (main course) was glazed with a nice, sweet sauce and accompanied by crunchy, fresh beans."

"The inside of this restaurant is a charming old historic tavern. It is a casual restaurant & raw bar featuring traditional American fare. The salmon special was excellent as were the asparagus and french fries. The fried oysters could have used some seasoning. The coffee was fresh and delicious. The bread was freshly baked. Our waiter was very pleasant and did a good job."
