"Larry and Dan take pride in their work. I ask Larry to make the cabinets for our new kitchen. Not sure if my picture does them justice (and excuse the mess we're still moving in), but the cabinets are stunning. If you don't think you can afford custom work, check with them. They built the cabinets and a 10 foot butcher block top (not shown), installed all of them, and did the crown molding all for about the same price as just buying inferior cabinets at the big-box stores. I actually got a quote from one of the big box stores. After that I ask if he could do all the trim in kitchen in hickory to match the cabinets. They did and it turned out great. I then ask him if he could build a set of open, country style stairs into the basement using some rough cut maple I had sawn years ago. You can see the results in the pictures. They're solid as a rock and gorgeous. Look at the detail at the top landing. They made a custom trim piece to cover an odd ledge on the right side from the construction of the addition. It fits perfectly and looks great. I've now ask them to make a country bathroom floor for me using more of the maple and build the vanities and medicine cabinets in hickory for the bathrooms. I can't wait to see them. Ignore the one star reviews. That's a game being played by non-customers."

"Larry and his son do very excellent work! I recently had him make a table for me as a gift to my boyfriend. The quality was outstanding and I would recommend him to every and anyone that I possibly could! Not to mention, if you have been into McGarrey’s Oakwood Cafe, you may have realized that our bar top and all of the tables in the bar are brand new and handmade by Larry! He is quite the craftsman."

"Larry and his son Dan are talented craftsmen. They built all our kitchen cabinets including a china cabinet, an island, a pantry, a door for another pantry area, and 3 walls of cabinets. All this was done in hickory which is just beautiful. Included with one set of cabinets was a solid maple countertop which again is just beautiful. They also did the trim for 9 windows, 3 doors, and around the floor in the kitchen area in matching hickory. We just also had Larry and Dan make stairs from our kitchen area to our new basement area and all the trim in the basement. This was all made from boards from our home in NY. The stairs are fabulous and being made from the N.Y. boards makes them even more special. I would highly recommend Larry and Dan for all your woodworking needs."

Larry Merritt, the owner, and his son, Dan, built me a king size bed, two night stands, a dresser with a mirror, a chest of drawers, an entertainment center, a desk, three bookcases, and a printer stand out of solid cherry. The furniture was all hand carved in the dental style at the top as well as hand carved arches in the centers. It was very professionally done. We started with a piece of paper an an idea of what I wanted and he delivered exactly what I had in mind. The furniture will last for several generations to come. No one can do better work than Larry and Dan."
