"We are in town visiting family, and they are regular patrons of the Carefree Inn. They kept saying we needed to try the deep-fried shrimp, which was excellent. The batter was similar to a tempora type breading and very light in texture. My wife had the Boston scrod dinner, which she said was excellent as well. The sides were delicious, and portions were generous. The wine pours are basically the size of the glass, which was a nice surprise given the pours you usually get these days. This was a great dinner, and we look forward to visiting again when we are in the area."

My friend’s King Cut of Prime Rib looked like it was done perfectly and he reassured me it was. The only thing I would change is the decor, as it is outdated."

"BEST restaurant if you are in the mood for prime rib! Absolutely the best prime rib we have ever gotten and it is always cooked to absolute perfection! The cook is amazing and the wait staff is always on the ball! Their fettuccine alfredo is amazing and their homemade alfredo sauce is to die for! This will always be one of our favorite and go-to restaurants! Never a bad experience!"
