"Loved the food! Got the butter Chicken and Rice and naan. And the orange shrimp and Vegetable Manchurian with Vanilla Soda and P.O.G. The service was great too! Really good food."
"I treated my Aunt and Uncle to lunch today to celebrate their birthdays. We had a very pleasant meal. The restaurant was fairly empty...not surprising as it was a Tuesday and we came by pretty late after we voted. We ordered some chicken and lamb Dumplings for appetizers. They were served with a tomato chutney. The chutney had a nice hit of spice. For mains, I ordered the rack of Lamb and a butter naan, my aunt got the Rogan Josh lamb bowl and my Uncle, who can't eat spicy food anymore, ordered the chicken chow mein. I've been to this restaurant before and found the food good--but today it was really good. Every dish was delicious and we enjoyed our meal. For dessert, they ordered the rice pudding. I had a bite and liked it. Would be happy to go again."
"Very impressed with this restaurant tucked away in a part of Alexandria I've never seen before. They take their food very seriously and the staff is on top of everything. The naan is hot and fresh. The butter chicken is classic, and on the sweet side. The kale chaat is excellent. Overall a very impressive neighbor restaurant."
"The food was delicious! I ordered the samosa appetizer and the butter chicken for my entree. Each dish brought forth the nostalgia of these classic dishes while also having a unique flavor that made the dishes fresh and delightful! We also ordered the pork appetizer, which was equally as flavorful. So tender and delicious. And the naan was delightful — fluffy and perfectly fried! The restaurant’s location is stellar, only a short walk from the King St. metro, and the restaurant is beautiful inside. It is tastefully decorated, from the decor to the water glasses to the dinner plates! We also had a very attentive server, which was the icing on the cake! We will be back!"
"Atmosphere was great and service was good but I think they could improve their foods. First off, expected this restaurant to have more fusion dishes but it was more of an Indian restaurant with some Chinese dishes. Presentation was great but some of the flavors missed the mark: - pork belly was outstanding! - samosas were good with good sauces - chili chicken was way too spicy and so much so that they ruined the tastes of other dishes. The taste was ok and maybe this batch had too many seeds, but I don't know if I would recommend - butter chicken was wayyyy too sweet and chicken was overcooked. Couldn't recommend Will have to try other dishes and will update review accordingly"
