He has also guided me through the use of certain products to help straighten my hair. I appreciate his attention to detail and how he makes me feel warm and welcomed. I would recommend him for anyone needing a good cut in the Logan Circle area."

"I needed a last-minute haircut for an event I have this weekend. My usual stylist at another salon was booked, so I thought I’d give BANG a shot. I booked an appointment with Matthew, who was very nice. Off the bat, though, he was running behind—more than I would expect a stylist would. I told him exactly what I wanted, the same thing I’ve told many other stylists over the years, and he seemed to understand what I wanted. He tried being communicative with me and asking how I liked what he was doing, and I tried to politely tell him I wasn’t sure if I liked how he was fading my hair on the sides and in the back or if it was what I asked for. He tried to reassure me that he’d smooth it out and it would be fine. He repeated this step, and I kept telling him the same thing. At the end, I thought it looked better from the angle I was looking at it, but when I got home and got a closer look, the fade looked rough and uneven (see below). Fortunately, my usual stylist was able to fit me in between appointments the same evening to touch it up and fix it. I never feel the need to get an immediate touch up like that, but I was really unhappy with how the cut came out. Even my usual stylist thought it was rough when he took a look at it. I just didn’t feel like it was a professional job based on what I paid. As nice as the people there were, I probably won’t try BANG again."

"Michael Craig was my stylist. I came in for a men’s clean up, and it was AMAZING! I asked to clean up the back and sides and it was exactly what I needed. He made sure to ask what I wanted and if I liked the outcome. With the end product you would think I was there for more than just a cleanup. Mike did such a great job and was a pleasure to have cut my hair. I can’t wait to go back for a full haircut next time."
