"I mean, it's a creek, not a pool. So don't go with the expectation of crystal clear water. It's fed my creeks, streams, and springs. It WILL be cold, it WILL be sandy/muddy, there WILL be leaves and rocks... but nothing crazy. Please don't think I'm trying to make the place sound bad. It's awesome! They try really hard to keep everything up and running proficiently, with probably very little staff. But people are friendly, often people who camp here, or like me a local coming to cool off. I have only 1 complaint, and it really isn't a bad one. The depth of the water is not accurately displayed on the rope barriers. So if you see 6ft, expect more like 7 or more... just word to the wize. Zero or very, very little current and a good time had by all... Will return!"
"Nice State Park!! Very family friendly but the outhouses/bathrooms are rather ripe!! Pavillion #5 is a wonderful location. Very breezy. Beach area is right there. Picnic. Party. Swim. Watch all the water fun from the pavillion bc its close. Water is cold even on an 85°F day in August!"
"Very neat little stop in the middle of clear creek state park. The swimming area is deep enough with rope sectioning it off from the rest of the stream and fishers. Sandy beach area is well kept and raked. The fishing seems really good. Water is very clear (hence the name clear creek lol). Saw a TON of trout swimming. Water did seem pretty cold so good for fishing but might be a little chilly for swimming. Large gravel parking lot on the side of the road with addition parking spots along the road. Very cool stop and must see for kids and fishermen. Pavilions also available for picnics and family outings."
