"Never going here again. We ordered for pickup the brisket, full rack baby back ribs, and banana pudding dessert. The brisket was dry as hell, overcooked, and with zero smoke ring. Tasted like it was cooked in the oven not smoked bbq. It needed tons of sauce just to be able to swallow. The ribs, omg please look at the attached picture, completely burnt and smelled terrible of smoke and ash, not to mention very fatty lower quality baby backs. High fat to meat ratio. Disgusting took one bite and threw it away. If we were sit down customers, I would’ve said to the management how dare you let this leave your kitchen, unfortunately for pickup I didn’t see any of this until I got all the way home. This restaurant isn’t cheap it was $70 for one brisket, one full rack ribs, and one banana pudding dessert nothing else. Sorry for being harsh, I don’t write a lot of reviews but I’m furious that a place would serve people such awful food at such high prices."
"Happy hour is great! The Pig and Chips were half off and came with so much pulled pork! The Pear and Walnut salad is my usual go-to. I love how the restaurant is located in an old house - it’s such a cool experience."
"Fantastic food. We had the brisket, grean beans and mac/cheese. Brisket was juicy, beans with bacon were out of this world. Mac/cheese was a little bland...maybe some pepper. 3 choices of sauce, all of which are tasty. Wish I lived close so I could go back. We sat outside and enjoyed the view, music and fresh air."
"You need to let the meat speak for itself. I ordered the ribs . They were so meaty and pulled perfectly from the bone. HOWEVER, the rub was so gritty that i had to scrape it off. I bit into an absolute clump of spice. I had to wipe out of my mouth. The rub didn’t set enough to liquefy or they were severely heavy handed applying it. Brisket was decent, just a smidge dry. The mashed potatoes, baked beans and tater tot sides were very tasty. We also ordered a drunken pretzel-which was just okay- the cheese was very bland. Drink prices were a bit steep for the size glass. Our waitress was very pleasant and the staff was nice. Very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor dining. Perfect atmosphere, loved the old house turned restaurant."
"Five stars for sure! The food was excellent, beginning with the poutine appetizer , right through to the delicious peaches and cream dessert. We were eager to try everything on the menu, so we opted to share the swine platter. We chose the pulled pork, pulled chicken, beef brisket, sour cream and onion tots, and at the suggestion from our server, Dayne, the potato salad. More than enough food for the two of us. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a drink from the excellent bar menu. Local beers and spirits are always a plus. The service provided by Dayne, was great! We didn’t feel rushed and his suggestions for food and beverage were on point. We can’t wait to go back. Side note: google is asking for a price rage per person. Keep in mind that we had an appetizer, alcohol, and dessert. In my opinion, the prices are very reasonable."
