"Penn Brewery, conveniently located in the Pittsburgh International Airport, offers a delightful culinary escape for travelers. Despite the city's somber mood following the Steelers' recent loss, our experience here was a beacon of positivity. The service was swift and warm, ensuring our food arrived promptly, hot, and delicious. The soft, salty pretzels were a perfect starter, especially when paired with their finely crafted beers. The grilled cheese sandwich was a comfort food masterpiece, with its perfectly toasted bread and a generous, gooey blend of cheeses. However, the real standout was the wurst baguette. This dish was a revelation, featuring a juicy, savory sausage nestled in a fresh baguette, elevated by an amazing sauerkraut that added a tangy zing to every bite. This combination of flavors and textures was nothing short of sublime, transforming a simple meal into an unforgettable dining experience. Penn Brewery at Pittsburgh International Airport brilliantly showcases traditional German flavors with a modern twist, making it an essential stop for anyone passing through."
"We ordered grilled cheeses and we did not really like them. The presentation looked okay until we took a bite. The cheese thickness was too generous. It was the be careful not to take big bites or you will choke super thick kind. Would have probably been better with a tomato soup on the side. The taste of it was similar to a Colby, very tart. My husband got the brat and he said it tasted like a piece of sausage from a gas station that was there spinning all day covered with toppings to hide it. He said he had better brats at the local Sheetz. Just not good and too many other places at the airport and we chose wrong. We did not like our pick. Pass…"
"Overall it was decent but nothing special. The pretzel and pierogis were pretty good, but the grilled cheese, chicken sandwich and fries were just okay."
"The service was good. Wait-staff was very polite and friendly. The food I ordered came hot and was very delicious. There are plenty of beer and drink selections as well. The cost is affordable and comparable to outside the airport restaurants."
