"We regretted our decision to check Spice out. It's possible that their other dishes are solid, but the vegetable biryani was poor. The description did not match what came out. No raisins, cashews, or peppers. Instead there was a frozen vegetable blend with a bit of cauliflower. The flavor was one-note. I didn't finish it and didn't bother to take home leftovers The saag that my partner ordered was plain and lacked the robust flavor that one expects from Indian cuisine. The sauce was tomato based and not the creamy dish that we expected. The portion was small. Our server was not into her job. This was one of those times you go out to eat and the entire journey home is spent talking about how disappointing the meal was."

"Really excited to have this open in downtown Mechanicsburg. They just opened so I'm going to give them a little bit of grace. The service struggled to keep up and it was not very busy, however they recognized it and they brought us some extra dishes to sample. They were very nice and we appreciated the gesture. The food was pretty good. I think there are one or two Indian restaurants in the area that are better than this, but it's an excellent choice and you have to drive further for those. The mixed grill was very good. Momo's were excellent as well. We will be back and I expect they will continue to improve as they figure things out."
