"Went here today, which is obviously in the off-season, and everything was still great. Seems like it would a very good time to stay on the bay front and hop from bar to bar and restaurant to restaurant. That said, the battered perch was the best fish I have ever had, and I am not a fish fan. Also tried the catch of the day, which was arctic char. Wasn't my favorite but the salmon fans in the party said it was perfect. I would also recommend the mushrooms as a side. Great view, great location, and even a fire in the fire place for the cold weather. Would definitely recommend. Follow for more..."
"One of the oldest restaurants on the harbor, We enjoyed there she crab soup, and perch sandwich and a lobster roll with their homemade potato salad. All was excellent. Busy place, nice atmosphere. Building is really cool looking, indoor and outdoor seating. The only complaint I have is that the menu that you can find online is about half the price of what you pay when you're there, I don't think they actually have a website with current pricing available and have left whatever menu been posted on whatever site probably for the past 20 years. Which I think is a disservice, and not necessarily would have deterred me if I saw the menu with their actual prices. Everything was still reasonable and excellent. We had a young gentleman that was working the bar and he was a really nice and classy guy but took care of us. So was waitress that came from The dining area that also helped. She was really nice and quick to serve us. Definitely worth a stop for a drink and definitely dinner. We did sit out the bar however and the only complaint I have there is that they're bar stools which are definitely dated our very uncomfortable, they are small and they lean forward. I don't know if this is on purpose to discourage people from eating or staying at the bar for too long or if it's just something they haven't really thought about. Beautiful historical place, be sure to check it out."
"The food was so delicious and my family had a great time here! I would recommend it to anyone. I will say though I was not a huge fan of the potato salad; it was dry."
"First I want to give compliments where due. We were welcomed and treated well by our server. I got the catch of the day which was Arctic Char, and it was tasty enough. However, my mother's meal was disappointing. She got the Mediterranean shrimp pasta, and it tasted bland like it had no salt, and had an unpleasant overpowering flavor I couldn't identify but all I can say is it was gross. There were also 3 shrimp in this $30 dish. When our server noticed my mother was unable to eat it, she did comp us for half the price and that felt fair at least. I have hope that it was a one-off bad dish. The biggest frustration BY FAR though was the house salad my mother ordered with her meal. Not because it was bad—it was the only thing she was able to eat—but because they charged $7 for a few iceberg lettuce leaves, croutons, carrot and onion slices. She also passed on Bleu cheese dressing because they ask an extra $3 for it. That's up to $10 for a small salad that's literally as basic as it gets. When I was looking online after the fact, the prices used to be way different. I know inflation has hit us all but that salad has no business costing that much in any economy. The worst thing about this place is that it's way overpriced for what you get. I talked us out of going to Red Lobster for this and left regretting it."
"The place is cozy and quaint, but it was too warm. The clam strip appetizer was crispy and tasty, but the Lake Erie Perch beer batter fried was a little soggy. I ended up removing the batter and eating the fish only. The fries were good, though. Their long island ice tea is just an ice tea, kinda weak."
