"not open 24 hours a day. I went on a middle-of-the night trip with my wife, and they were closed. We proceeded to drive down 206 to 80 down to Succasunna McDonald's, which was the only 24-hour McDonald's near us. Nearly an hour after we left our house, we were at the drive-through window. Now we had to trek back through the 60-mph wind back to our house to enjoy our treats."

"Feeling compelled to write this review about this mcdonalds after a number of recent positive experiences here. I actually grew up about 7 minutes from this mcdonalds, and loved mcdonalds would always want to drive the extra distance to the Byram mcdonalds because the food there always used to be better like across the board. When my husband moved up here with me, he also agreed so we’d always go to “the far mcdonalds” when we wanted some good mcds. We moved away for 4 years, and back here this past summer. One late night, out of convenience, we stopped at this (Newton) Mcdonalds, thinking it would probably be sub-par food like always. All we wanted was a quick bite, so we just got double cheeseburgers. WOW, we were blown away by these burgers. We ate them in the parking lot so quickly and both were raving about how these might have been the best cheeseburgers we’ve ever had. We thought it was a fluke. But thought about these burgers for the next couple weeks, occasionally saying “i want another one of *those* burgers”. Finally, we stopped here again, just to see if by some awesome chance, the burgers would be fire again - to our delight, they were! Twice in a row, weeks apart, at different times of the day. To be more descriitive, what made these burgers so great was mainly the tenderness and greasyness - so if you dont like i greasy burger, it might not be for you. But i don’t know what they do to them or how they prepare them now, but whatever they do, they need to keep doing it. We’ve gotten burgers from there several times now since then and we’re always happy with them. They are like melt in your mouth heavenly burgers. We get extra cheese and ketchup and no other toppings on them, if that matters. So simple, but always delicious and hits the spot. One of our newer favorite things to grab when out running around Newton. The fries and nuggets come out great too btw!"

"Food is good as long as its fresh. Service leaves a bit to be desired. No matter what time of day we go we're always missing something out of our order. It's very frustrating to have to sit through the drive thru line a second time because an order can't be given correctly."

"Drive thru was NOT open 24 hrs…drove around the building and waited at the order speaker twice with multiple employees inside (just past midnight). Called the store while waiting and they turned the drive thru light off on me. If there was a reason I couldn’t be served, they could have at least communicated it to me."

"One star for the warm coffee yesterday. The McRib was cold and stuck to the box. The roll was cracked in half and dry. It was stale and stuck. No time stamp on the box. See photos. When I did my drive up order they messed it up. It was simply a McRib and a Black Coffee and one milk. I pulled up and the person said ‘just coffee.’ I said a McRib too.’ He was snotty about my addition of the needed McRib. The cashier closed his drawer and didn’t want to give me change. I had to wait for their manager to open the drawer. I received no apologies to the attempt at keeping tips? Just dirty looks. As I waited for my change the girl at the next window hung out of the window with my coffee and food. I had to put back together the stale sandwich and be happy with the mess. But she was nice. Clueless, but nice. This was an unfortunate situation. It reflects on four employees. There is a problem. They were not busy at the time of my order."
