"You can see the dam and water falls from distance, but you can't go close to the dam. There are plenty of 'danger' signs and so getting close to dam and falls is not recommended."

"Pay attention, listen to the lock master, follow instructions. Use a vhf radio on channel 13 or call them on the phone. That all makes for a quick safe lock through. Thanks guys for helping me through the lock."

"A great place to go and see how the locks operate. The kids will love it. It's a smaller lock that always has a lot happening. Large towboats are always lined up to go through. It makes for a very educational day."

"I wish I could offer pictures. It's beautiful there. BUT YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO GO PASSED THE GATE. If you do, pretend you don't know any better. Park in the first parking lot. Feed yourself with the education on the board. Take pictures. Be honest WHEN someone stops and asks you questions and don't go after sunset. Or just avoid it altogether. Best idea. There are people working there."
