"It’s in the heart of Monticello which speaks for itself but, the food was pretty good. Chicken was a bit dry. Staff was great. Parking stinks."

"My wife and I came to visit family on vacation, and we ordered rice and beans and Cubans over the phone. We showed up around 10 minutes later. Sandwiches weren't started, and it was a slow day there, which wasn't a good first impression. After 20 minutes of waiting, we got our food, and the staff seemed rather polite. We headed home then to eat. The Cubans were not anywhere near any other Cubans I've ever had. They didn't have pickles, mustard, or ham. The bread was soggy and sticky, and as for the rice and beans, it tasted like steamed rice with ketchup. It didn't taste remotely like it had sazon, adobo, sofrito, or any other seasoning. It wasn't worth the price they charged. Overall, I had high hopes for Nelly's, but it's not anywhere near the term "authentic." Living in a Puerto Rican household, I was hoping that I'd have a figurative "small taste of home," but sadly, it didn't meet my expectations."

"Great authentic dishes and a decent seating layout. The food options are visible through the counter and everything is flavorful. The black beans and rice is pretty awesome and the portion sizes are just right for a full belly that you can rub after the last bite."
