"Bought a combination wall oven/microwave. First one was not delivered because it went to the store damaged. Two weeks later I received a delivery. It was delivered and installed by Mega Plumbing. This is who Lowes used to install the appliance. The delivery man did not speak any English, he came with an interpreter. This was a horrible installation. After they left, I called Mega Plumbing because the microwave was making a horrible loud noise, right after it was installed when I went to use it. The installer, who could not communicate in English nor his interpreter bothered to check the microwave to test if it was working properly. I called Lowes. No one could help because this was the Friday before the Christmas holiday, so I received no help. This story has lots of details, and I was bounced from one Lowes employee to the next, salesman, manager, install company, etc. This was ridiculous. I was told Lowes would replace the appliance, but wait......,I got three calls telling me that my appliance would not be reordered unless they uninstalled the current defective oven. I said.....And leave a huge hole in my wall...and no use of an oven or microwave....No way was that going to happen. Yes, they would get the appliance back when they came to uninstall it and install the new appliance. Thats the only thing that makes sense. Whew! This has been so exhausting and maddening. The situation was escalated to something Lowes called Service Advantage. They sent a repairman to assess the problem, who diagnosed it as a bad magnetron. They ordered the part. Installers came today to replace the magnetron. Well....it was not the magnetron. It was a POOR Installation by the Mega Plumbing installer. The back of the oven had not been properly screwed in. It was not attached at all!!! This is why the microwave was making that strange, loud noise. Yes, the Lowes Mega Plumbing installation team did a HORRIBLY POOR INSTALLATION. There were several places that required screws that they neglected to attach. THESE GUYS WERE HORRILE. Will never use Mega Plumbing again. They obviously do not properly screen their installers for competence. Which means I cannot purchase an appliance from Lowes again. Sloppy, uncaring, potentially dangerous installation job! And I paid them to first come out to measure to make sure the appliance would fit. The first installment team from Mega Plumbing did a TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL JOB. I am furiously disappointed in a process that began on October 31 and hopefully was resolved today, 3 MONTHS LATER. UNSATISFACTORY PERFORMANCE BY LOWES AND MEGA PLUMBING."
"I received some Christmas gifts from Lowe's, and had previously tried to return them. I was told I need a receipt or the method of payment, charge card. I was back today with the purchasers cards, and Bianca advised it was purchased over 90-days ago so, per policy, they couldn't do anything. It was a Christmas gift and Christmas was a month ago!!! I asked to speak with a manager, Mathias, while Bianca discussed a $3.16 cash drawer overage with another employee. Mathiss said he would be authorize a return for a store credit only, which was fine with me - again, holiday gifts. Blanca then told me two pieces were on clearance, so I would only get .01 / each. No way! My sister then emailed the receipt, dated Sept 1, and after giving that to Bianca,I thought I was good. I'm disabled so I sat on the bench located in Cust Svc. It took an additional 38 minutes, for a total of an hour! Bianca tied up two registers. Ugh. When did the return policy change ?!?! And HomeDepot is right across the street !?!? If I *NEVER* go back to this Lowes, it will be too soon. Go to HomeDepot ! Thank you though, Mathias, who was there on his day off."
"I know that a lot of people post when things go wrong or when something isn't right. Well here's a post extending gratitude to the manager Mathias. I was trying to purchase the moving box kit. I called other stores but they did not have all of the boxes that I needed. I really wanted to just make one big purchase instead of buying boxes from different stores. Onlibe, some places said that all of the boxes were available but when I got to the store they were not. So, instead of driving all around town I started making calls. I called this location 4 different times... I was hung up on, transferred to different departments and finally I asked to speak to a manager. Some may say, that this should've been a sign to just call somewhere else but this was the closest store to me. I finally spoke to Mathias and he explained that the "moving kit" couldn't be found because you had to look up each item separately. So, that's exactly what he did. He checked and made sure there were plenty of every item in the kit. I then placed an online order for curbside pickup. To my surprise, it was Mathias who brought the boxes out. I have a regular sized sedan so it was a tight fit but he made it work. He was patient, persistent and kind. Things may not always start off on a good foot but you never know when just one person can turn it around."
"I recently purchased additional Christmas projector lights from this store a couple days before Christmas. Upon check out they don’t tell you Christmas items cannot be returned.Not on your receipt or via staff. I came to return to the items shortly after Christmas. While waiting my turn to return, the cashier in a nasty and rude manner stated you can’t return these items as if I was wasting her time. Just so happens another gentlemen was also returning an item and in the same boat. We both tried to receive store credit as a resolution that would be fair both to the store and customer. The manager Pattie comes and states it’s the policy and there is nothing she can do. Today, I learned from corporate the individual store can make exceptions. My questions is why have managers and higher ups if they can’t make good customer decisions. Please beware, the cashiers at the return check out line are rude and nasty. And to think, I just bought a dryer from this same Lowe’s 2 days prior to my return of the lights. I will not be spending my money with Lowe’s and will take my chances with home depot. Just some feedback for the future for this location. Please make sure your signs visible to the customers especially during Christmas time. The only sign shouldn’t be at the return counter as this is false advertisement."
"I’m writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the recent cancellation(s) of my refrigerator which I order online # order 790774587. I was NOT notified that my schedule delivery was canceled. This incident has caused me significant inconvenience, resulting in loss of money, taking off work and canceling personal appointments. On December 04, my refrigerator was scheduled for delivery. The tracking info indicated it was on the way, while waiting all day the refrigerator never arrived. The next day Dec, 05, I received a call from deliver service to tell me they were on the way to delivery my appliance. I advise that I waited all day on the 4th the scheduled date, I’m not available (on 5th) I’m not home. So, I rescheduled the appointment and the computer generated a delivery date for December 14th. Again, I rearranged my work schedule to patiently wait for the delivery. Without any noticed (no email,text or no call) I leaned the delivery was canceled. After spending 2 hours on the phone with customer service . I was advised by staff the delivery was canceled because the item was out of stock. Now this was most utterly frustrating cause had the situation been reverse, I would have been subject to a penalty and fees. As A loyal customer, I find this treatment inconsiderate and disrespectful. As result of this experience, I was compelled to take my business to Home Depot. I urged Lowe’s to review and reconsider their online delivery scheduling and policies. It is imperative that a company of such high status acknowledge and respect the time of others. Therefore, I request Lowe’s to provided me with a satisfactory resolution for the financial loss and time I sustained. I trust this matter will be taken seriously and looking forward to receiving a responds. As for now, I will avoid to patronize Lowes for now and in the future."
