"Yesterday after Joshua and I had a great lunch, we decided to check out the Edith B. Barill Riverfront Park & Trail in Star City area of Morgantown. The park is free to enjoy. There is plenty of parking. Some decking style docks along river to stroll, a gazebo, a few shelters & picnic tables (no grills) there is a very nice bathroom facility near the oversized Children's fabulous playground with swings. Plenty of signage depicting the history with photos along with name plaques for the trees. Some beautiful wildflowers and wildlife including plenty of ducks with babies. Definitely a great little place to enjoy some fresh air. There is also a shaved ice truck and you can rent paddle bikes for the river. Several nice memorials including one of President JFK"

"The place is quite serene. Very accessible place and an amazing spot for a family weekend picnic. We can see a lot of folks taking a stroll, fishing in the river, jogging around and sitting."

"Great little park hidden in plain sight. Makes access to the trails easy, fenced playground for the children, boat launch area, bathrooms and picnic/bench areas. There’s even a place to inflate bike tires. Well kept and they continue add improvements. Great place to visit for river watching or a stroll on the trails."

"Great little riverfront Park, clean and well maintained. It is open until sunset, and you can catch a beautiful sunset while you're here. I've seen a number of people launch boats and kayaks from here too. It didn't seem exceptionally popular or crowded which was nice. It seemed that any people passing by were friendly and its a great place to go for killing time."
