"Been dying to try this place, since it's very well known for the area. It's on the first floor of a beautiful historic building and the ambiance of the seating/bar area is nice, dark and cozy. The server was very nice, but also very slow. The food itself was good - cooked well, good portions. Different pricing than the online menu, so they haven't updated their pricing online, be aware. Everything was $3-4 more than what was listed online. Overall, it was ok but more average than I expected, considering how the locals rave about it. The place was empty, there were only 3 tables including us, so it definitely should not have taken us one hour and 30 min to eat a burger and pizza. We were pretty frustrated with the service, and the food was not good enough to excuse this, so I'm glad I finally checked it out but will probably not be coming back."
"Excellent food! Beautifully decorated!"
"We found Danny's on the way to a hotel in Monticello. The service was great, the food was delicious and the dining room was warm and festive. We had the Crock of Seafood. There was so much yummy seafood and linguine that it was perfect to share. It also came with warm crusty bread. We will definitely return when we travel this way again."
"The food is incredible and very reasonably priced. Great spot for an afternoon. It's a little place, tucked away off the highway. Worth a stop for the food. I had the (can't remember the name) I think it might have been the French dip sandwich, with au jus, spoon good. Very yummy."
"I have passed this place many times. Finally stopped for lunch and it was very good. I had the French Onion Soup and a cheeseburger. Place was not crowded at all — just me and some locals at the bar having lunch. I enjoyed it and would definitely go back. Always thought it was a cool old building."
