Reviews
"Ehhh used to really like Mason's, but they have recently priced themselves a bit too high for the quality and amount of food being received. The lobster rolls were $16 and used to be a pretty good deal. Solid 4 star experience and food. I would go 2-3X a month. Now, just a few weeks later... Rolls are $19 with no additional lobster meat being provided. To jump from 16 to 19 is substantial, especially without being offered a higher food quality, or more importantly amount. That's the standard roll price as well. Not the upgraded roll with tail meat. Which by the way is only about the size of my hand."
"Got their Connecticut Roll. I'd say the taste was about average. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because I've never had a Connecticut roll not come with a slice of lemon. Lemon would have made it better. It also came with a sliver of pickle. The pickle was thinner than a #2 pencil. Oh the lobster meat itself had a lot of shredded meat with a few chunks. Other places have always bee mostly chunks of meat."
"The prices are high but not surprising because it's lobster, what was disappointing was the over presentation, taste and service. When we arrived, we were greeted at the counter by a young lady with no gloves, picking he nails with her teeth. This was made worse by her general lack desire to work or even be there. We ordered the lobster bisque, shimp and sausage gumbo and lobster mac and cheese. The lobster bisque was just lobster flavored cream, there was no meat in in. The shrimp and sausage gumbo, was not gumbo just soup, the shrimp isn't even cooked in the soup, it's thrown in after( I know this because the shrimp tasted like it was boiled in water) The lobster mac and cheese was dry and burnt and have about 5 pieces of meat that were again, boiled with no flavor. When I tried to speak with the workers about the food, the same one who didn't want to be there, ignored me as if I wasn't even there. They need new management, better staffing, and a better menu. The prices are to be expected, but the trash food and service are not worth it."
"The Bar Harbor had no tail meat, which was advertised on menu, the portion was generous but claw and knuckle meat are nothing without tail meat, the roll had little flavor and they need to lose that lemon butter, who does that anyway? I had to ask for a cloth and cleaner to wipe the table down. Their were no clean tables. lobster Bisque seemed to right out of can, was runny, no meat at all in the soup and was bland. The counter person was friendly and professional and was the best part of this experience."
"My sandwich was dry I ask for Mayo it wasn't there. The lobster look like it cooked in bulk for the week. It was dry full of pepper like someone just dumped on top. The 2 slices of Bacon old and over cook. The lobster bisque had not one piece of lobster in it. Not one and the potato salad was pretty decent. Will not order again if this is their standard on food taste"
